We used this particular Picture People store for my daughter's 1-year-old portraits last March. It was a truly painful experience.
We had an appointment for 10 am, but were ushered in 10 minutes late. The photographer who took my daughter's portraits was friendly, but didn't know how to get a child to smile. All she did was stand behind the camera and keep asking my daughter to smile in a sing-song way. She never used the feather duster or any of the toys.
When we returned later to view our portraits, we had to wait just to view our portraits (there was no other customer in the store), then they left us for 15 minutes to review the shots while all three salespersons stayed in the back room. And worst of all ONLY ONE PORTRAIT WAS IN FOCUS! Of the six or seven shots, only one wasn't blurred. At least it was a good portrait, though, so I wanted to buy it. But when I looked through the package, the color in the wallet-size shots was washed out. So when the salesperson finally returned, I explained how I'd like to buy the package but could they please re-print the wallets and fix the color.
FORTY-FIVE MINUTES LATER, the salesperson emerged from the back with our reprints. I found out later that reprints actually take only 5 minutes!!!
SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!
PS
I contacted the corporate office to complain and they said the district manager would contact me about the situation...that was almost 6 months ago.

We recently visited Lewnes for our anniversary and it was a lovely experience, but with room for improvement. Lewnes is a charming steakhouse that also serves seafood and allows you to pick your own lobster. The bar and tables on the first floor are a bit crowded, contrasting with the quaint second floor dining room. We had a table by a window...with a view of the street, not the boats. The room ambiance is a little off - kind of like it's missing energy, so bring your own.
I ordered the fillet mignon (not petite mignon), medium, and it was the most succulent piece of meat I've ever tasted. The outside was crisp, the inside perfect pink and juicy. Without question, worth the price.
As for everything else on the menu...par. The salad was small and uninventive, but the house dressing was tasty. The baked potato was fine. The asparagus, slightly overcooked. For dessert: key lime pie and chocolate mousse. I'm pretty sure the pie was from a box. The mousse suffered a density nearer pound cake than mousse. But how can I truly complain about chocolate? And it was delivered with beautiful chocolate drizzles and whipped cream.
Lewnes is known for its steak, though, and now I know why. I'd go back again and just order another fillet for take-out.
I should also mention they have a broad-ranging wine list with a few bottles well over $1000.
