We love the whole dining experience of going to a Japanese restaurant and Fire and Sticks is doesn't dissapoint! They offer the same typical courses as most Japanese Hibachi style restaurants. I do think their starting off broth is much better than others. Their steak is always prepared exactly as I request. The atmosphere is wonderful and there are an abundance of tables available, however, I would definitely recommend a reservation - especially on the weekends. My only complaint would be that every time I have been there aren't any specials offered - and it can get pricey.

I would highly recommend Skeet Club Vet on Skeet Club road in High Point, We take our 1 year old beagle there and see both Dr. Goho and Dr. Bencuya. Both doctors and the staff have always been very helpful and always considerate to our needs. They take the time to answer any questions we may have and have given us some great information and advice. Also - you can tell they definitely love animals - which is very important to us.

My wedding and reception was actually held at Castle McCulloch in August, 2006. It was perfect in every way. The staff was very helpful from day one. With all the stress of planning a wedding, they made everything very easy for us. They even have preferred vendors you can select and receive a discount towards your venue fee. The interior was beautiful - but I truly think it is the grounds that makes this venue so special. Everywhere you look - it was lush and green with fountains, and beautiful stonework. It was absolutely beautiful and a perfect setting for our wedding. The pictures from the interior and exterior grounds were amazing! Everyone commented on how beautiful everything was - I would highly recommend Castle McCulloch for a wedding, reception, or anniversary party. We couldn't have been happier!

Aquaria is owned by the same people that own Giannos Italian Restaurant. They sell a variety of food -but define themselves as a "seafood" restaurant. My family has eaten there 4-5 times and tried a variety of food. I have tried a different type of seafood each time and haven't been happy with anything I have tried. The biggest problem I have found is the seafood is overcooked, so, it is either very dry or tough & chewy. My husband always gets the prime rib and has been very pleased with that everytime. He prefers Medium Rare and it has been cooked to perfection everytime and has the perfect amount of seasoning. The only time we go to this restaurant now is if we want a steak or prime rib. I definitely would not revisit this restaurant if I wanted seafood (which as I stated earlier - is oddly enough what they are known for).

We had passed The Claddagh many times and finally decided to give it a try one day - wish we had gone sooner! They have a limited menu but the food is very good. They offer some Irish fare - the reuben sandwich and shepherd's pie are particulary good. The also offer a variety of other sandwiches and a regular dinner menu. My husband loves their steak and cheese and swears their cheesburgers are the best in town. They also have a small, but, nice bar area if you are just having drinks. They offer a brunch on Saturday and Sunday. We have been several times and haven't been too impressed with the brunch food - but, we are big fans of the regular lunch & dinner menu.

Cow Cafe has moved to a new and bigger location on Middle Street. They have the best ice cream in town - our favorite is the key lime pie. They have a barnyard back room for kids to play in. Cows of all shapes and sizes to look at and buy. There food is wonderful too - so far my favorite is the cow chow sandwich - and my husband loves the oinking cow (cuban pulled pork). We stop by everytime we are in New Bern or on the way to the coast. Definitely worth the trip!
