YUM! That sums it up for the Hofbrauhaus in Newport! To my knowledge, there are only two Hofbrauhaus's in the US - Newport and Las Vegas... and Newport's is BETTER!
They have a wonderful selection of traditional German food, but they also have some of the regional favorites. I went with my mother, and we started off with an appetizer of goetta links... and then my meal include an assortment of sausages, including mettwurst. Now, perhaps these are more widespread than I think... but all I know is when I moved out west and married my husband, whenever i talk about goetta or mettwurst, people look at me like I have two heads. It's only back home in the good old Cincinnati that people are speaking my language - and the Hofbrauhaus serves these German favorites!
My mom and I went all out on this meal, and we each finished up with a dessert... and shared, of course! Apple Streudel and a Bavarian creme Puff. EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING was *exceptional* in quality.
Do keep in mind, if you go, that they often have a very authentic, very loud band playing German music there! When we went, the host thankfully offered to seat us in a room off to the side. You could enjoy the music, but still hear yourself speak (unlike the Hofbrauhaus in Vegas, but that's another review...)

Specialty Sports has an awesome selection of firearms and hunting gear. If you're looking for something specific, this is the place you want to go. If I were going to rate them on selection alone, they'd get 5 stars.
However... I have problems with their location. It seems like any time you go, they are crowded... not surprisingly, as there seem to be very few stores of this type around here. But there's just not enough room inside of the store to accommodate all the people! It seems like you are always in someone's way, or they are in your's.
The employees there are all very friendly and knowledgeable... but sometimes you have to wait awhile to get assistance, because the store is so busy.
Also, I have a lot of trouble trying to reach them by phone. Most of the time when I call, I'm taken to their voice mail box, which is always full :/
It's a nice store, and my husband and will continue to go there, but I know I would be happier if they could move to a better location.

I stopped in here recently to browse around, hoping to find some goodies for my altered art projects. I walked in, and WOW! If you are in the market for paper, look no further...! They had rows and rows and roooows of paper all through the store! And the store is quite large, too! It's the biggest scrapping store I've been in.
Along with paper, they also have a very large selection of stickers on a roll - they lined a good portion of the walls.
Up front, you will find a wonderful assortment of pigments and inks for stamping and coloring.
They also have a nice selection of rubber stamps - however, I am more into the funky and artistic stamps, and I found they had a very disappointing few of these :( Most of the designs were very "cutesy"... if that's what you like, then you'll love their stamp section!
I think they also could have a better selection of embellishments. They had some nice stuff, to be sure... but I was hoping for more.
All in all, a nice store. Not everything is quite my tastes, but I have no doubt any scrapbooker would be in heaven at this place!

First off, about Panda Express as a chain... I can't say enough about this place. If you're looking for high quality fast food, look no further (well, assuming you like Chinese, that is!).
Panda Express uses FRESH ingredients in all their food, which really sets them apart with so many other places. And it's not just a claim they make... you can see them there in their freezer. One day I actually witnessed them carrying in crates of fresh mushrooms! The recipes they use are simply wonderful - ESPECIALLY the orange chicken! If you haven't tasted this, then you are really missing out!
There prices are very reasonable... you can a great quality meal, fast, for about what you'd pay at the local drivethrough.
Now, about my local Panda Express. My experiences here have generally been excellent. The restaurant is always very clean and well kept up, the staff is friendly... my only complaint is that often, if you go in close to closing time (around 8:30 - they close at 9), the food is sometimes cold, has been sitting awhile, and there are very few things to choose from. While I can see why they don't want to make a whole batch of food close to closing, I find it rather disheartening as a customer to go in and then be expected to pick from a small selection of old food... If you go, I suggest going before 8 or so in the evening, to gurantee you get fresher food and have more choices.

While I can't say this is the best theater in the Springs (since I haven't been to the IMAX on the east side), it is definitely up there! There are lots of screens, sop hit movies show very regularly and it's easy to catch them. Also the parking lot is huge and well laid out, with ample parking. Even on busy days we've been able to park fairly close to the entrance! There are also plenty of ticket windows outside - so while it may look mobbed on a weekend, you actually get through the line rather quickly.
The inside is well maintained - very clean. The seating in the theaters is stadium style, so it makes life a lot easier if you have someone tall in front of you... or if you *are* that tall someone!
We've never had any problems with the sound or film quality there - everything has always been excellent.
I can not speak about their concessions, only that the prices seem ridiculous - but no more ridiculous than every other movie theater you go to!

My husband and I were in the market for a used SUV earlier this year. We didn't want to spend a lot of money, and after looking online, we found a Jeep that looked interesting at the local Lexus dealer. We headed over to look at it.
When we got there, we informed the salesman we talked to about the vehicle we wanted to see (which was priced around $7000 - not much at a Lexus dealer). He took us outside to look for it. When we got to it, it really didn't look so hot. He told us that they hadn;t had time to clean it up yet, and that it had a few problems that needed fixed. He then proceeded to say that if we were looking for a 4 wheel drive, he had something else we might like... Immediately the little red light in my head starts going off, he's going to show us something expensive. Instead he tooks us over to show us an absolutely immaculate and LOADED Ford Explorer that was price just $1000 above what the Jeep was. The weather was bad that day, so he offered to pull it into their service department so we could take a look. We looked it over, he went with us for a test drive, we came back and thought it over... And we ended up purchasing it.
I suppose it sound fairly basic, but keep in mind... this is a Lexus dealer. This salesman is taking his time with us over an $8000 used car, when there are other customers he could have been trying to get to, that were looking at NEW cars. Also, never once did he put ANY pressure on us to purchase. He didn't try any of that monthly payment garbage or the "let me talk to my manager/finance guy" routine, like I've had happen at other dealers. He was honest, forthcoming and patient with us as we made our decision. AND he never made us feel bad, for looking for such a "cheap" deal. I've had other dealers that have done that...
To top all this off, we paid about $4000 BELOW book for this SUV! And we are so happy with it, let me tell you! It is top of the line, runs great, and has had no problems at all. I can't tell you how happy we are with our car and how happy I am with the experience we had at Lexus! I recommend them to ANYONE in the market for an automobile!

My husband and I stumbled upon this place by accident, but I am glad it happened! I had really been craving a good brisket, and Howard's hit the spot! You get very large portions of meat. The side items, like potato salad and cole slaw, are great - and I don't know about you, btu it seems virtually impossible to find a decent cole slaw at a restaurant nowdays. They also have excellent bread!
As far as appetizers go, the hubby and I have tried the jalapeno poppers and they are excellent. We also had the bread pudding for dessert - that was the only thing I didn't care much for. The rest of the food is *excellent*, though.
The only drawback is the service... while friendly, it is sometimes rather slow - particularly to get waited on at first, and to get drink refills. Even taking that into consideration, though, I still have to give this place 4 stars... I haven't been able to find better BBQ in the area!

My husband and I were recently in the market for a used car. My husband was looking mostly for a Pontiac Grand Prix. We got something in the mail telling us about a huge sale going on at Phil Long Suzuki... hundreds of used cards for thousands of dollars off! We decided to go take a look.
We got there, and there were maybe 20 used cards on the lot. They had one Grand Prix which was more expensive than what we were wanting to pay, but we decided to take it for a test drive, anyway. It was a nice car, but - like I said - more than we wanted to pay, and we suspected it was priced well above book. The price they claimed to be the regular price on it was what you'd expect to pay for a brand new Grand Prix!
My husband and I are are both rather passive people. We told them we'd let them see what kind of offer they could make us. And thus began our nightmare...
We sat there for at least an hour, with them coming to us with different offers. My husband kept telling them he wanted to spend a set amount, and they kept asking what we could afford per month and giving us the price based on monthly payments - they refused to even tell us what interest rate the payments involved. They kept saying, "Let me go talk to my manager". After this happened about 5 or 6 times, the manager came over to speak with us... to explain what a "crazy" deal they were trying to give us, telling us that our trade in was virtually worthless (which it wasn't, we knew better)... and when the hubby said that he was interested in an older, cheaper car... the manager proceeded to tell us how we'd never find anyone who'd want to finance it. One more time, they said they'd see what they could do. This was when I'd had enough. I got up and asked for our keys... they had them because they were supposed to inspect our trade in... which they hadn't done - I think it was more for the purpose of making us feel more trapped there. Well I asked for the keys and told them we weren't interested and wanted to leave. Then the sales people proceeded to FOLLOW US TO OUR CAR!!! At this point I lost it. I ended up screaming at them and telling them how we weren't stupid enough to buy their lies, and then I backed up and sped away.
Later I came to find out this is the typical sort of shady behavior you can expect at Phil Long car dealers. I can honestly say I will NEVER go to one again. The experience was a total nightmare, and it honestly bothered me for days.
Coincidentally, my husband found out that the crazy deal on that Grand Prix they had was several thousand dollars above book. And we later bought an older Grand Prix from another dealer in town, which offered us a 4.25% rate on the loan. They also gave us $6000 on our "worthless" trade in.

My pets have just recently become patients at Centennial Animal Hospital, and I am so happy with the care and service we have received there so far. For those living in the Rockrimmon area, they have an incredibly convenient location! The waiting area is extremely clean and has an open and airy atmosphere. The exam rooms are clean, roomy, and brightly lit. I have dealt with two different vets there, and they were both extremely nice. One of them also went to, what I consider to be, above and beyond the call of duty to examine and give shots to our insane, anti-social cat!
I also find their prices to be relatively reasonable. A recent trip - which included office visit, bordetella booster, rabies shot and a prescription came out to total $58. I have seen vets that charge a lot more than this!
I will say that if you are interested in getting a flea treatment like Revolution for your pet, you will be able to find cheaper prices for it online by doing a simple search on Google. However, I imagine that the prices for Revolution at this vet are average for what a typical vet's office charges.
In addition to veterinary care, they also offer grooming services. I was told a typical work up would be about $40, which is $5 less than the local Petsmart. I haven't used the groomer there yet, but I plan to give them a try next time our dog needs such services!
