The menu is varied enough to suit almost all tastes. The ambiance is kinda casual-busy. The place is large and it is always bustling with activity. It has an open kitchen so you can see what is going on if you are so inclined.
The table is covered with butcher paper and the waiter/waitress will write her name and wants to be friendly so that you will feel at home.
Every table gets a fresh mini-loaf of Italian bread that is very very good.
All the pastas are made from scratch and are sauced perfectly. None are ever soggy or too dry and the pasta is always "al dente."
What's not to like?

Denica's is many things - a bakery with superb cookies, pastry and other baked goods. But, it is also a wonderful retreat that offers good coffee, soups, sandwiches and salads.
But, if that's not enough to pull you in - try their Mexican menu. They have burritos and other Mexican fare that is very nice. I like their salsa bar.
They have a daily salad/soup/sandwich special.
I've never had a bad meal, here.
And it's cheap and quick.

Just Koi is the inexpensive, casual place owned and operated by the larger, more expensive, fancy Koi Garden located upstairs. Just Koi is mainly noodles and rice plates. Koi Garden is famous for Dim Sum and Seafood dinners.
Just Koi is excellent and the menu is geared for Chinese and others very familiar with Chinese food. It could prove a bit daunting for the novice customer that stumbles in as the menu is not particularly well written nor are the descriptions like most other Chinese restaurants that cater to Caucasians.
It does have excellent won ton and other soup noodel and chow mein and chow fun dishes.
Try it. Watch to see what other people have and be adventurous and ask them what it is.
Go for it!

This was a very nice place that offered really good French Vietnamese cuisine.
Unfortunately, they retired and have no plans to reopen at another location any time soon.

Most people seem to be high on this hamburger chain. I think the burger is OK, not great but not bad. My problem is that it is expensive for what you get. At $10, it should be a memorable burger but I find it no better than what I can get at other places for about $6.50.
I think the way you fill out a checklist for your order is a gimmick and, yes, there are a ton of condiments or additions you can make (that drive the price up) but for the basics, I don't need all those fancy things.
Fries were just OK and the sweet potato fries were a disappointment - greasy and soggy.

It is a quality product and properly run. I know people that go to In N Out whenever they come from out of state. It's that good.
They pay well and have good benefits for their employees and the price of the product is more than fair for such high quality.
One tip - ask for the fries "extra crispy."

What we liked about this place was the relatively simple menu and the thin crust pizza. It was very similar to the pizza we had on our various trips to Italy. The crust is thin and the bottom is crispy and the toppings are not overpowering. It is a healthy, delicate food item - not the heavy, cheap, macho, fat and starchy item in the typical American pizza joint.
Their other menu items are also quite good. Don't miss the Brussel Sprout Salad (seasonal). I don't even like B.S. but this is very good.
Their Braised Short Ribs is outstanding and so is their leg of lamb.

China Wall started out as the Great Wall but was forced to change its name due to a trademark conflict. The food is very good for a buffet operation. They change the trays even if they are not empty so the food is always fairly fresh and never old and tired.
The selection is incredible. There is something for everyone and every taste. The service is friendly and the price is right!
They are so sucessful that they have opened a second location in Dublin near the 99 Ranch location.
You can pay for more and get less quality and less variety but not better food quality for buffet self-service at this price.

I believe that the owners of A & Noi decided to retire after having great difficulties with the landlord and increased lease cost and difficult lease terms.

This is a new place located in a small strip mall next door to Back 40s BBQ. It is owned and operated by Daniel, formerly the front-end manager at Luna, Walnut Creek. The concept here is small plates. Here, they feature a cuisine of the month and they offer it in small portions so you can order a number of them to sample various foods instead only one large entree item. You can start out with just a few and order more if desired. The wine list is huge and really covers a lot of ground. Daniel knows more about Italian wines than anyone I ever met. The food is outstanding and the prices are moderate. It's a small place so call and make reservations. They do lunch and dinner. They have a web site so you can check to see what cuisine they are offering for this month. Va Da Vi, Walnut Creek has made a huge success in this type of serving. Nibbler's is not as beautiful inside nor quite as sophisticated but it is still an excellent way to try this kind of dining.
