I have been waxed and polished here several times and never felt creepy at all; perhaps some of these one star reviewers don't get their nails done that often? It is not that unusual for the staff to concentrate on their work rather than jabber away at you. I would definitely rather not listen to someone else yapping when I'm relaxing, and can take my problems to a therapist, where they belong.
During a wax the girls are much friendlier and more talkative (it's hard to relax when getting waxed and the talking is a nice distraction) and I have never received bad customer service here.
Tip: They have great coupons in the University District coupon book!
