Marjorie--the best kept secret of Seattle

Thursday, December 28, 2006
Marjorie, the location, once the home of Cafe Septieme and then later, Lush Life. LushLife was once owned by the pioneers of Belltown, Marco (Marco's Supperclub) and his then wife, Donna Moodie. They know service, they know food, they know experience. On her own, Donna built Marjorie to her standards and has gone beyond any restaurant in Seattle. It has the warmth and love shown in its food and its atmosphere. The waiters are carved into excellence (at times, the troubled service is only because its much too busy for its size.) They use organic food when its available and most importantly, in their drinks. They make their drinks from scratch...no mixers and they are generous. Mojitos, Caipirinhas, Margaritas, all of them, amazing. The food is always consistent...famous for their plantains and eclectic menu. A must try...especially for a romantic night out.
