Al Dente is a tiny, hole-in-the-wall restaurant that you would probably miss if you weren't looking forward to it. I ate there for my boyfriend's birthday and was delighted with the service. Before we even got in the door we were greeted warmly and then promptly seated. I ordered a chicken milanese, he had a chicken parm, and both came out very quickly and were wonderful. The portions were huge and we both left with quite a bit of leftovers. The waitress was very attentive to our needs, especially the 'sometimes difficult to cater to' food allergies that my boyfriend has. Definitely a North End jewel worth checking out!
