Late last year, I brought in my Oxblood-and-black Fluevog wingtips and replacement Angel soles I bought directly from Fluevog. Over a few weeks, they installed the wrong soles, conditioned the oxblood-colored leather with a substance that turned the color deep blackish-brown, and ultimately, I believe, lost my shoes altogether. This despite repeatedly giving them my phone number when they asked and coming to the store to give it to them when they didn't call back after weeks of looking for my shoes. I gave up when, several months after the repair started, I had to move out of town and misplaced my receipts. Just because they're in your neighborhood doesn't mean you should use them.
