Down Dog, an Affiliate studio of Baron Baptiste, is the only studio in the DC area certified to teach Baptiste Power Vinyasa a strong, flowing, style of yoga accessible to most individuals.
Georgetown location is nice, but not the easiest to get to for those of us who take public transportation.
Studio is very nice, but space is limited. Classes are sometimes cramped and its hard to find places to keep your stuff (there are no lockers or locker rooms).
Instructors are very good, but sometimes there are simply to may students for you to get any personal attention.

This is a very cute studio located in a walk up. Is is welcoming and friendly. It has a very inviting atmosphere with well organized rooms -such as little floor marks on the floor as to where you should line up your mat. They have a great little shop area and well most of all - wonderful classes! It is a very homey, in a good way, studio. This is a great place to practice.
Oh and after each class the teacher goes up stairs to the library nook for tea and cookies with the class and one more thing they have a great welcome packet for newbies!

There are a number of reasons why Washington Sports Club is a great place to work out. Not only are there 18 locations in the Washington metropolitan region, but each location offers an extensive list of exercise classes. Of the 7 clubs I have visited, I have always encountered clean locker rooms and friendly staff. Each club also offers a daily 22-minute express weight-training workout that is free to members and supervised by WSC staff. The only reason I don't give these clubs 5 stars is that, membership is pricey.

SomaFit is a unique, modern day spa and fitness center located in Upper Georgetown, in the center of Washington DC.
They have a non-membership approach ... this means you pay for everything a la carte (from yoga classes to personal spa services). This allows you to bypass monthly dues, but some of these fees are real high.
The gym and spa, however, are beautfiul. If you have the money to spend, its worth it.

Upon visiting this salon for the first time, I was utterly disgusted with the service level of this establishment.
The staff was moderately pleasant, but the service quality left much to be desired. After arriving early for my appointment, I sat waiting for hour and a half hours and never once did anyone give me an update.
Frustrated beyond belief, I ended up walking out of the salon and got nothing but a vague apology from the stylist I was scheduled with. She made an "attempt" to call me three days later with a more sincere apology, but by that time, I'd found someone else.
I'll never visit this place again and I don't care how highly reputable their stylists are.

This was my first time going to a day spa and it was wonderful. The staff is extremely pleasant and you're treated as though everyone knows you. The spa itself is not that big, but the ambience makes up for it. I highly recommend Skin Savvy Spa. Everyone is professional and you leave feeling refreshed and renewed. Not to mention that the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend a trip to Skin Savvy. You can't help but to fall in love with it!

After that I love the place. We have had no problems. They installed new carpet and painted before we moved in. The only problem was fixed with in 24 hours.

The atmosphere is wonderful and the food is even better. The lobster sauce is excellent on the crab/seafood stuffed ravioli
Highly recommended!!!
