The Phillips Collection is one of my favorite museums in Washington. The atmosphere is intimate and warm. You feel like you are in a private mansion. The works are magnificent and you have time to pause and appreciate everything.
The exhibit ,Edward Weston, was a superb collection on abstract photography. The green pepper, the halved cabbage, all were a teaching tool, but couling the photos with a few contemporary painters was not that effective.Stick to ane media. student/alex.

Admission for a worthy exhibit. See beautiful gowns by Cassini and Paris knock offs. The pill box hat is her trademark. Rest in peace / we miss you. You were a smart woman and did much research in historical preservation and basic customs of other countries. A woman to be respected with brains! Mrs. Bush needs to take notes or go back to Texas. Her refinement is null but Jackie rocks! Michael Barry MA

You won't find 70's disco dresses here. This is Harlow era stuff- so cool. They even carry old furs in winter. It is jam packed but you could spend hours here just rifling through it all....

Memorabilia in addition to the huge clothing collection. It is worth the trip- this is good funky vintage shop in town.

Looking for an inexpensive, quaint, bed and breakfast type experience - then this is the hotel for you. Nothing fancy, but this little out of the way hotel, with its afternoon sherry in the lobby, and neighborhood atmosphere, was just the ticket for family visiting D.C. Although she made them change her rooms for several reasons, and there are no elevators, it was a hotel I would recommend for traveling on a budget. Close enough to walk, and catch the bus or grab a taxi, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would recommend this hotel. Oh, and the front desk people were hysterical. Every day a new person was on duty. The only suggestion I would make - don't carry too much luggage.
