This restaurant in the middle of Yachats is a great place for a casual meal. There is a lot of wood in the decor and the seating is comfortable. They have a full bar. There was a small wait to get seated and a considerably longer wait to receive the food but mostly because of the popularity of the place. The menu is extensive and the food is good. They have entertainment in the evenings. There is a nice walk along the ocean if you cross back over the bridge.

I recently went into this business to research what kind of bikes are available. The salesman was very attentive and talked to me extensively about bikes and also gave good advice about how to prevent my bike from being stolen. He gave me a personal tip and showed me some heavy duty locks. There is an interesting antique bike in this shop. They have some rentals including a two seater recumbent type of bike that looked like fun.
Since this is a small store in a plaza, it is a bit hard to find. It is near GI Joe's.

This florist caters to business accounts. I guess that 's why they can charge so much for their bouquets. They are well arranged and fresh but I was surprised to hear that the cost for a typical large bouquet was over $75. I think the other floral shops in Portland offer a much better deal with equally nice flowers.

This highly accessible children's museum is served by public transportation and is also across from the popular Portland Zoo. A trip that combines both would make for a memorable day. The museum is geared to children under 10 with a lot of hands on areas. I especially like the baby's garden area that focuses on discovery through the senses. An excellent place.

Even though the landscaped lawns are inviting throughout the summer, the best time to visit this garden is in late June or early July. The hillsides are filled with color from the large mature rose bushes. This park makes a great environment to relax in or to show off to guests.
