La Perla has emerged as a kingpin of some of the great Mexican restaurants in Milwaukee. Much advertising on various local buildings has caused the word of mouth.
Sometimes you may have to wait, but it is worth it. There is less wait time in the summer, because there is a very nice terrace and outside dining.
I am pretty picky with my Mexican food, but I must say that the food is not greasy and tastes great. I don't have any tummy problems afterwards like other restaurants. Great value for the portions and price.
