Indoor seating feels absolutely like you are outside thanks to the wall of tilting glass. True outdoor dining is also available.
The chef is Cornell Coulon - formerly of Emeril's New Orleans.
Don't miss the Turkey Croissant with a heavenly horseradish-cranberry spread. Or the spinach salad with a bacon viniagrette and goat cheese package. Yum.
They offer a full bar and dessert as well. Lunch, Dinner, and Sunday brunch is served. And they are open until 11 on the weekend.

Stepping in the beautifully restored lobby, you feel like you've stepped back in history. Once you step in the rooms, you'll know you haven't. Amenities including high speed internet await you.
You don't have to stay for long before the doorman knows your name. The staff is fantastic.
Steps to the Boston Public Library, Newbury Street, and the whole Copley Square area. A quick cab ride to Fenway Park, Faneuil Hall, the North End, and more.

Sometimes I just can't bring myself to face Shaw's. If you only need a quick jug of milk or a loaf of bread, Johnny's is the place. It's small but has a decent selection, and really good prices.
And the thing is, every time I go, I think that I should go there more often. The produce is good. The meat looks good. The bakery and deli look really good. They have name brand selections in the grocery aisle.
It's conveniently located at the St. Mary's Stop of the Green Line "C" Train. They also have parking in the back, but no access to the store through the back. Metered parking is at times very easy.
Give Johnny's a try!

Most people equate a trip to the post office about the same as they would a trip the registry of motor vehicles.
But a trip to the Kenmore Square Post Office is usually fast and very enjoyable. It's mostly because of the staff who seem like they've been there forever. They know how to manage the different needs (and crazy questions) of people as diverse as an international student from BU to a local-yocal to the snarky meter maid that I see there all the time.
They have PO Boxes that you can rent. Self-service postage machines and scales are also available. If you forget your boxes, you can buy one (even pretty ones to fancy up your package) at the branch.
The one bad thing is that their hours have recently been decreased so they close the doors at 6 PM on weeknights. But they are open on Saturday until 12 noon.

The staff and clientele is fairly young -- catering to the local college crowd, but there are good deals abound.
Stop by on your way to Fenway, they even have discount specials sometimes with your day-of red sox stub.

I hesitate to write this as this is my favorite secret to impress but... Party Favors is tucked away in the shops that line Beacon Street in Coolidge Corner. They have every party doo-dad you would ever want: balloons, favors, gift wrap, stickers, candies, gift bags, everything.
However, the bakery in this store is fantastic. The cakes are decorated perfectly and always in season. The cake recipe and icing is also great. There are cookies and cupcakes that are equally as impressive.
Next time you need a birthday cake? Look no further and head to Party Favors. (Order ahead for custom cakes.)

Check their hours before you go - the hours can vary.
There is little street parking, but there is a metered lot with lots of spaces directly behind the store with a walkway that is directly next to the store.

Hidden behind the cute shops of Coodlidge corner is a small farmer's market every Thursday between mid-June and mid-October. There are lots of items including in season veggies and fruits but there are also a lot of herbs, garden plants, and even beef.
One of the highlights is the chevre stand by Westfield Farm from Hubbardston, MA. Another is the fresh baked breads of all kinds by Clear Flour Bread.
They say they are open until dark, but the vendors start pulling out at about 6 PM.

There are even workshops you can attend like how to make your own wedding favors or party invitations.
For a paper lover, plan on spending some time and some money here. It's fantastic!
There's a great location on Boylston, not far from the Arlington T Stop. There is also a cute location in Coolidge Corner in Brookline.

Try the Chicken Satay for an appetizer that comes with the chicken skewers served over a mini-hibachi with a smoking coal. The taste is even better than the presentation.
If you make a reservation, which is highly recommended, be sure to get the person's name that made your reservation. I confirmed my reservation twice, yet they couldn't find it when I arrived. However, the host was professional and got my party seated immediately.
Give Jer-Ne (prounced Journey) a try -- a great place that can handle diverse needs - great to take a date or a business lunch.

The serve traditional fare like fish 'n chips, stews, and other hearty fares and they have a full bar with many great beers and an awesome cider on tap.
O'Leary's is super T accessible - right across from the St. Mary's stop on the Green Line "C" train. They have live music most Friday and Saturday nights with no cover, but get there early -- it fills up with BU students and locals both.
