I honestly do not really understand that much about modern art, but this museum is a fun and hip place to visit. Pieces here are pretty different from what you would expect at a “regular” art museum. Ticket prices are inexpensive, and you can probably get a group rate. They have at least two locations in New York, one of which I believe is in Queens, but I have only been to one location.

I am not sure how this store compares to the one in the actual museum, since I have not been to the shop in the museum, but this one has some pretty nice stuff. It is located by Rockefeller Center, so it is not surprising that the store is a bit on the pricey side. They do have some pretty unique gifts though.

There are special films and exhibits that you need to pay extra for, but those are of course optional.

They also sell printing kits, paper, ink, and pretty much whatever else you might need. They have one of the best locations in New York City, and also have a website, although it is still in progress. They have some very knowledgeable and helpful workers in case you have any questions or concerns.
