I grew up in the south end too. We'd lived in the north end from the Greenwood area to the old Aurora village area. There are quite a few good Chinese places up in north end, but the China Dragon is the best food and the best price. If the bar is what keeps them in the profits, I can deal with the atmosphere. It's really not that bad and they'll close the door that separates the two if you ask them. Very friendly all around- service, cooks, everyone. I would go so far as to say it's a Ruth's Chris steak at a Denny's steak price!
