My first visit to this office was a nightmare. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a frigid receptionist. Would it have killed her to smile? Whatever happened to courtesy?
After waiting 20 minutes, a veterinary associate approached us with needles in hand and without introducing herself, told us that she would have to give our puppy her vaccinations right there in the lobby as they had, "two cats in the back" - whatever that means! I was appalled and mortified! Whatever happened to professionalism?
Furthermore, despite calling ahead and providing detailed information of what we needed during our visit, they still managed to mess things up. They forgot to give our puppy a vaccination that would've prevented her from being accepted to a boarding facility! If I hadn't noticed this ommission we'd have had to come back another day and probably charged another office visit fee.
As if that wasn't enough, there was a lady there with what appeared to be a very ill puppy. She made them aware that she found the puppy @ a barn. Instead of treating her gently and kindly all they wanted to talk about was if she would "take responsibility" for the dog or the puppy would be released to a shelter once it's been treated. Where is the compassion?
Lastly, I inquired about getting our puppy spayed and it was like pulling teeth to get information! Had I not known what questions to ask I wonder what, other than how much it would cost, information she would've given me. No pamphlets, no brochures, no website referrals were provided. Where is the customer service?
Again, no one introduced themselves, no one smiled the whole hour we were there and they barely made eye contact with me when they spoke. We spent over a $100 @ this place and entrusted them with our best friend, you'd think they could @ least attempt to make you comfortable.

I recently spent a half a day @ Gene Juarez in Bellevue for a "Back and Neck Massage" and a haircut. Below are my pros and cons list...
Pros:
1) I had no problems making an appointment a mere week in advance that suited my schedule for both a massage and haircut. Plus, just 2 days before my appointment I needed to adjust the hours - still, they were courteous and accommodating.
2) Easy to find @ the Galleria Mall with validated parking.
3) The reception area is spacious, welcoming and overall decor inviting.
4) Upon arrival the staff was prompt with getting me acquainted with their facility.
5) The environment in the spa area is serene and conducive to relaxation.
6) My masseuse, Vicki, was professional, friendly and pampering. She gave me a wonderful back and neck massage!
7) After my massage I got a haircut with Mikah who did a pretty good job with listening to what I wanted. She also communicated her plans well before implementing them.
8) Overall, @ the end of the day, I felt pampered.
9) You didn't feel pressured when leaving a tip as their system is to put your tip in an envelope which you drop in a slot @ the check-out counter @ the end of your visit.
10) I also didn't feel any pressure to purchase any of their products (see cons below).
Cons...
1) Parking is horrendous, then again, parking in Bellevue is horrendous almost anywhere you go.
2) For the most part the staff was courteous and friendly but I think for the price of their services they could've been more attentive. I was in their facility for hours and was offered refreshments only twice.
3) The robe they provided were tattered. I wasn't expecting brand new but the robe I was given had frayed edges.
4) At the end of my haircut I was COVERED with hair and the stylist didn't take the time to address that. Instead, she handed me a dry towel and sent me on my way.
5) I had asked both the masseuse and the hair-stylist to have products I've chosen to purchase @ the check-out counter for me to pick-up but they weren't there and I forgot all about them!
All in all I would go back there again.

We are fairly new in Washington state and so when I had an emergency and required immediate care I was blessed to have found Four Corners! If you've never had the misfortune of having a toothache, then it might be difficult to imagine how utterly miserable it feels. For those of you who's been there you know how awful that experience can be. Dr. Ludu was professional, comforting, not to mention highly skilled! I had to have oral surgery on a decaying, impacted and infected molar. Need I say more?
Of course, the drugs helped but that's what a good doctor is supposed to give when you're anxious and in severe pain!
Since then I've taken my whole family there and now all 5 of us look forward to a trip to the dentist. Thanks, Four Corners family!

My family and I were excited to discover this little gem of a market in Kent. We live 15 mins. away in Covington and take every opportunity to stop by Carpinito's whenever we're passing through or in the area. They have wonderful seasonal vegetables and plants. The staff are friendly and eager to help and answer any questions. Yeah, I agree that parking can be improved.

I took my puppy to this clinic yesterday to get spayed and I'm thrilled with their service. I've been looking for a new place to take my puppy since my recent nightmare of an experience with Covington Animal Hospital. I chose this place because I found an ad in the Covington Reporter with a coupon for spaying.
They were able to accommodate me in every way. They were warm and professional without being hurried. They made sure that all my questions were answered and provided helpful handouts. Their reception area is clean. One of the best points is that they truly provide "value" pet-care without compromising service. Our total bill came to $68 - this includes an "introductory 50% coupon for new clients". We had gotten a quote from Covington Animal Hospital for >$200 for the same service! Plus, they called the next morning to check on their patient just to make sure all is well.
Check out their website: www.valuepetclinic.com

I can't wait to go back to this place. I'd been there some time ago but since I'm new to the area and was not the one driving when we went to this restaurant I'd forgotten the name and the exact location. The food @ the time was awesome. I'll be writing a review of my next visit - hopefully by next week! =)

I recently saw Elton John and had a great time. Parking was not a problem (then again I did pay extra with the tickets to get parking privileges) and it was a short pleasant walk to the event. We had dinner within a short walking distance @ Buckley's which was a nice establishment with an "Irish pub" feel (I recommend that place, too).
We're going back in June '07 to see The Police (YEAH) and can't wait. This time around I didn't make a big deal of getting floor seats as I discovered that b/c it is a smaller venue, any seat has pretty good view of the stage.

For our 10yr old on his birthday we went out to eat and wanted to do something new, which we did. I've never been to a Mongolian BBQ place but the process seemed intuitive enough. Choose a bowl size, follow the buffet while loading up on vegetables, then noodles, then sauce. Apparently the sauces are homemade and the restaurant is family owned which backs up the homemade touch.
I could have made it more spicy by using more Mongolian sauce but I did get another opportunity after the food was grilled and served with rice. I chose Lamb for meat but I might go with Calamari next time.
The kids enjoyed the process as they got to choose their own recipe for their meal, and even got to watch it get grilled on a huge round "iron grill".
The restaurant was clean.
The service was friendly and since it is family owned, it shows through the service that makes me feel that they really care to make sure that we enjoyed our visit. This place is the epitome of "Family-friendly".
