If you are a motorcycle buff of any type, and you live in Southern California....you have to visit The Rock Store at least once. The rugged facade is surrounded by the Malibu foothills, right on Mulholland Hwy. While riders flock to this institution on a daily basis, the real activity is on the weekends, most notably on Sunday, when celebrity sightings is common. Those who frequent The Rock Store are regulars Jay Leno (goes every Sunday), Matt LaBlanc, Brad Pitt, Arnold Schwarzenegger and countless others. The little gift shop inside has two walls full of autographed photos from celebrities who have dropped in. Inside is just as rustic as the outside, and is usually filled with riders of all types. The outdoor patio is a great place to have breakfast or lunch and watch the different types of machines that roll in. The parking lot traditionally fills by mid-day, and bikes are often seen lining the roadway leading to the parking lot on busier days.

By far the best liquor store in Orange County! Best selection of wine, beer, hard liquor and cigars; great prices, wine and beer tastings, and super friendly staff. And if they don't carry it, they'll be happy to see if they can find it and order it for you (at a price). Simply the best!

Perhaps one of the best places in the area to go for breakfast, enjoy a fairly quiet meal and a cup of coffee, all in an atmosphere that's cute, quaint and tucked from the hustle of the surrounding Newport Peninsula. This place feels much more small-town that its surroundings, located in one of the old shipping districts, with a small but warm interior and very inviting outdoor patio. Every time I go to breakfast, it turns into a 2 hour affair, with time to just sit and talk with friends or that special someone. As a breakfast burrito connoisseur, I give a big thumbs up to Alta's version! There isn't anything bad on the menu...and the buckwheat pancakes absolutely take the cake if you need your dose of flapjacks. I know they serve lunch and maybe dinner but I've yet to try it out, but I can't imagine the food being bad. Service is generally good unless the place is really crowded, and it can get that way at times. Definitely worth going to!

If you have a bike (motorcycle) then this is the bar for you.
Stop by Smarty Pants for the happiest hours on M-F from 4-7pm for $3 wells, $1.50 domestics, $3 imports & micros.
"Bike Night" is every Wednesday night. Featuring the MotoGP series, AMA Supermoto and SuperBike races from Speed Vision. $5 pitchers of PBR.
The food is also quite good, breakfast on the weekends especially...try the Monte Cristo and you won't be disappointed.
This place is a little hard to find (I got lost trying to find it and leaving), but that's part of the charm and keeps the crowds away which is probably the biggest bonus of all.

We read about Red Mill in GQ Magazine, as being one of the best burger places in the US....and we were not disappointed! Its a little noisy inside and there can be a line out the door, but its worth the wait for the food. My mouth was watering looking at the stacks of fresh bacon they have piled in the kitchen as we waited to order. There are a couple of picnic-style benches outside that we found much more peaceful to eat at, even though you're right on the street. Nice restrooms too. Definitely the place to take friends and family, this place has such charm.
