On our tour of museums since the library started their free museum passes, we have visited the Mill City Museum most recently.
It is built within the ruins of a Historic Landmark and explores the birth of Minneapolis. It includes an 8 story flour tower and lots of fun hands on exibits teaching a main industry of Minnesota. They also have an impressive outdoor courtyard that hosts live music and other programs, a gift shop & a cafe. Located in the rebuilt riverfront area of Minneapolis.
A great way to spend a day!

The University of Minnesota's Bell Museum of Natural History features a gigantic diorama hall displaying all of Minnesotas habbitats under one roof! Awesome way to explore nature and our local surrounding enviroment. Bigwoods, great lakes, prairies? You name it, it's there ;) My kids love the touch and see room where you can pet a turtle, rattle bones and try on antlers! It is a really great museum-- plan a family outing or for an educational trip.
