Emanuel Christian Center is a very good,evangelical, outgoing congregation. It started with just a few people in a living room with a vision and has grown huge. There are lots of programs to get involved in and the messages are also great. Their youth group is exciting and fun.
It IS a very large church but it all depends on where God leads you to be a part of whether it's for you or not :)

While doing some financial research I looked into this company and was very impressed. The counselors were proffesional and easy to work with. I was able to be connected with a real person quickly who would answer my questions and give suggestions. Unlike other companies I walked away with a better understanding of credit history issues and resolutions than when I went in.

Our church was rather involved with voluteering with this organization when we were growing up and got to know them well. We also know a few youth that have used their services and are very impressed.
Tree House is basically a youth services organization for at risk youth and their families. Kids who are rebelling or confused or just need some help or someone to listen are the common members. They have an excellent family and individual counseling program, as well as support programs like youth group and mission trips for those who make progress. Their success rate is wonderful.
I highly recommend them!

They have an AMAZING success rate! Although it is faith based, being a christian is not required for help. They do recognize, however, the power of God's love and healing in helping people rehabilitate.
They have intensive residential programs designed for Men, Women, and Teens-- the ONLY one in the country to have facilities for all of those! They assist in education-High School and college, job training, counseling, medical care and whatever else is needed.
They have so many resources to help and they are really nice and professional--Highly recommend.

This is a newer store in Up Town and I like it. It IS a bit over priced so I probably won't shop there on a regular basis but it can be great for an occasional stylish wardrobe addition. Take your time to cruise the clearance racks for a better deal. The employees were pleasant and it turned out to a be a surprisingly painless shopping stop.

Cool concept but really picky. Not really worth my time to bring clothing in. They go over everything with a fine tooth comb and seems little rationale behind what they buy and what they reject....

This is our favorite local public library. It has been remodled and updated and is just great. It is large and well stocked.
It features huge banks of computers all over in each section that are age appropriate in contents and programs and internet access. There are quiet rooms for meetings or study groups so you do not disturb others in the library. :)
The kids section is great with a huge cartoon scuplture, castle puppet play house with puppets, a dragon bookshelf and computers with educational software.

Minnesota Harvest has been part of our family tradition since my wife & I were dating in High School. We now bring our children.
They have a huge, beautiful, apple orchard, petting zoo, play area/park, bakery,and family restaurant. A one stop family event. They have wagon rides into the orchard where you can pick your own apples, pumpkins, grapes, you name it. They also have pony rides and horse back riding!
The food at the restaurant is amazing, atmosphere is warmand homey, their bakery goods will make you want the BIG car next time. We especially like the apple cider floats, apple doughnuts, and take your pick of apple pastry ala mode!
Open 7 days a week! Highly Recommend.
