The 100 South Chop House is the hippest steak house in the suburbs these days. I wouldn't even try to go there on weekends without a reservation because you just aren't going to get a table. Their steaks are excellent, their martinis are superb, and the staff is great. The atmosphere is kind of '50s Rat Pack/Sinatra style, with that kind of music and decor. It's a fun, fun time!

Taylor College Textbooks is a great little store that offers customers an alternative to the College of DuPage bookstore. They have updated class schedules, so they can help you find the right books for your classes. No need to worry about that. In my experience, their used books are in better condition and are cheaper than the used books bought at the COD bookstore. In addition, Taylor offers slightly higher buy-back prices than the COD bookstore does.

The Museum of Science and Industry is one of Chicago's finest offerings. People of all ages can enjoy a day at this museum. There are many interesting, informative, and interactive displays and exhibits. The restaurants and cafes in here are very expensive, so be prepared to pay a lot for refreshments. The same goes for the souvenirs in the gift shop. Overall, it is a great place to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon in Chicago.

If you are an experienced skier or snowboarder, then you probably won't enjoy Villa Olivia very much. It's not that big, so it's more suited to beginners. One thing I like about Villa Olivia is that they have tubing, which is like sledding, but in a tube. This is a lot of fun for adults and kids alike, so that makes it a nice family thing to do in winter.

Stone Dragon is a great little Chinese restaurant. They have lots of great dishes on their menu, including a delicious lemon chicken and some very tasty sweet and sour pork. I also like their fried rice, egg rolls, and crab Rangoon. The best part about the restaurant is that you get HUGE portions. In fact, I always have leftover food that I bring home for lunch or dinner the next day. Their prices are very cheap, too, considering the amount of food you get.

You can get a pretty large bucket of balls to hit for less than $10, and of course they have flags and markers out on the range so you can track your distances. It's a great place to work with a pro on the mechanics of your swing, or just to relax and hit golf balls.

They have private rooms where you have to remove your shoes before entering, and where you sit on cushions on the floor around the table. They also have good sake, if you like that stuff. The Wheaton Bowl is a pretty fun place to bowl a few games. They have plenty of lanes, so you are likely to be able to get a spot even on weekends. Their prices are reasonable, and they have a pretty good selection of bowling balls to choose from if you don't have your own. They also have many leagues to join if you are a more serious bowler. There is a restaurant in the building and a bar/lounge. The lobby also has video and pinball games so the kids can entertain themselves in that way if they don't want to bowl.

Key Wester was kind of a disappointing experience. The ambiance in the restaurant was very nice. I liked the decor, which consisted of pictures of fishing boats and had a general sea-faring theme. However, the food was not good at all. It tasted like something I could have made at home by myself, and I'm not even a good cook! Plus, the prices were rather high for the quality of the food. It looks like a fun place to eat, but the reality is that you would be better off spending your money elsewhere. Even a national chain like Red Lobster is better than this place. Sorry.

This dealer carries a lot of street bikes and motocross bikes in stock, so chances are you can ride away on something if you are in a buying mood. They also have a very competent service department. The one thing I don't like about this store is that they don't have very much in the way of clothing or accessories. It would be nice to be able to pick up a pair of motocross goggles from here, along with my new set of tires, but they just don't have that kind of selection. Too bad, because they are located in a convenient place.
