Lalo's has a great atmosphere and has a pretty tasty menu. But to tell the truth, we go there for the margaritas. They are the best, and there's usually a happy hour type of special on Fridays where you can get discounts on your drinks.
One thing that I don't like about going to Lalo's is the parking situation. There's not really anywhere to park, so we end up parking on a residential street and walking a couple of blocks to the restaurant.

If you think Red Lobster is only for dinner, you're really missing out! They have a great lunch menu too, and their lunchtime service is pretty fast - they usually serve it within 15 minutes or so....

You'll still get all the free Cheddar Bay Biscuits you can eat (is there a more compelling reason than that to go to Red Lobster?), plus you can choose from food items that only appear on the lunch menu, such as pizza and some create-your-own combos. Many of the lunches are less than $10, so it's highly affordable too.

As you can tell from the name of the store, Pepper's is the place to go if you need something for your bedroom. They have all kinds of beds, including water beds, as well as dressers, night tables, mirrors, and more. There are also kid-sized beds, bunk beds, and kids' furniture, so if you need to furnish your child's room, you'll be able to do so.
I think the prices are a bit expensive, but they do have more name-brand mattresses than other places (Stearns & Foster, Sealy, etc.).

There are a lot of movie theaters around here, but Marcus Cinema is always our first choice. For starters, they have 20 screens, so we know that we'll be able to get into the movie we want without worrying about it being sold out. In addition, they have stadium seating and the bigger theaters have balconies. And I also have to say that their concession stand is my favorite also. They have a lot of different items to choose from, so you're not limited to jsut popcorn and candy.

I've bought quite a few pieces from Wickes Furniture over the years. I like the style of furniture they have in the showroom, and they update their featured pieces quite often. Shopping at Wickes is a low-pressure experience, which is certainly not the case at some other furniture stores, so I appreciate that too. As for the prices, I would say that they fall somewhere in the middle: there are more expensive furniture stores, and some that are cheaper. (If you really want to save money, go to the Wickes Furniture Outlet on Army Trail Rd.)

Outback Steakhouse is by far my favorite restaurant around here. Although primarily known for steaks, their menu has a lot of variety to it. So even if you're in the mood for chicken, ribs, or just a salad, you'll be able to enjoy lunch or dinner at Outback.
One thing that many people don't know about Outback is that they have a take-out service. You can phone in your order and then pick it up from a drive-thru window. This is very convenient, especially on Firday or Saturday night when you crave Outback food but know you'll have to wait an hour or more for a table!

Citibank offers a lot of convenient services, including free online banking and bill pay, investment services, and of course 24hr ATMs. Whenever I've had to go inside the branch, the tellers were very efficient and friendly.
The one thing I don't like about Citibank is that they don't really have a good "free" checking account. In order to qualify for free checking, I think you need to maintain a minimum balance of $2500 or so, which is pretty high for some people. If you go with a checking account with no minimum balance requirement, you're limited as to the number of checks you can write each month.
Other than the minimum balance thing, however, I have no complaints about this bank.

When you go to Mitsuwa, you'll be able to buy authentic Japanese food. It's often the very same stuff that you would find in grocery stores in Japan. As such, the prices are a little bit higher than I'd usually be comfortable paying, but going there once in a while isn't too bad. The selection is wonderful and it's just a fun place to shop.
I've never really bought anything from any of the other little shops that are in the same building, but enjoy browsing around. If you're a manga enthusiast, you'll probably like the bookstore, but make sure you can read Japanese because that's about all you'll find in there!

There are so many Chinese buffets around these days that it might be hard for some people to choose which one to go to. I never have any trouble, though. New China Buffet is hands-down the best place around. The food is very good (as far as buffets go) and they have a great selection. The prices are quite reasonable, too.
The only thing I don't like about the place is that during peak hours, the employees don't take the time to clean up. So you're liable to see napkins, straw wrappers, and other garbage on the floors, which can be a little off-putting.

I know the latest trend in buying used sports equipment is to check online auctions first, but there are some good bargains to be had at Play It Again Sports. This store is pretty good about only buying and reselling serviceable equipment, so you don't have to worry about getting stuff that's totally trashed. I recommend checking them out the next time you want to buy some sporting goods. You'll definitely save a lot of money over retail price.
