I really liked the service at Heidi's. The stylists are all really skilled and they do a very professional job of cutting and styling. The hair colorists also offer a free coloring consultation. The prices are a bit pricey (about $50+ for a haircut) but it ranges depending on who your stylist is. They are usually pretty busy, so an appointment is necessary. The drawback to their salon being so busy is that you sometimes feel that your stylist is rushed because they book the appointment time slots really close to each other.

Hair Corner is a family owned hair salon. They do a good job of hair cuts and hair styling. A few of my friends used to get their hair done here for school dances and it always looked nice. The place is a bit small and you probably have to make an appointment since there are only two hair stylists. Their service is friendly and you feel like they spend a lot of time on you without feeling rushed.

I had an awful experience at this particular Great Clips. I guess I just did not know what was included in a standard hair cut. They did not wash my hair or blow dry it. Basically, I showed the woman a picture of the style I wanted and it looked nothing like it. The layers were really uneven and they were cut off in chunks, not gradually. I was really unsatisfied with the service and the skill level of this woman. I would NEVER go back there or to any Great Clips because I question the training the employees have received.

Riva has floor to ceiling glass windows that look onto Lake Michigan. It's a beautiful place to go for the scenery and setting. The ambience and view make you feel like you're somewhere tropical. The service is really good, there are two waiters assigned to each table. The food is all right, although not absolutely amazing for the price you're paying. I would recommend this place for a special occasion or for a date.

I recommend getting a small meal to save room for their desserts. It's a great place to go after a watching a show in the city or relaxing after a day downtown.

It is a great place for kid and adult parties. You can rent out rooms for private functions like business parties. It is a little costly, but they have a deal that you can play any non-ticket game for two hours unlimited for $25. They also have a bar and restaurant.

Fry's is like a warehouse of electronics and accessories. They have very competitive prices and a lot of merchandise in stock. The store is much bigger than Best Buy or Circuit City and the prices seem to be cheaper. They also have a cafe area which is nice considering people spend a whole afternoon in there. I like this store because they have many checkout lanes too, so the lines move quickly and it seems very well organized and efficient.

The prices are pretty cheap...ranging from about $5-$35, which also means that the quality isn't that great. It's a great place for really trendy fashions that you don't want to spend a whole lot on and wouldn't feel so bad getting rid of after a season. The lines are pretty long during the weekends, so I recommend dropping by the store on a weekday.

I got a pair of glasses made and they did not give me the option of buffing the edges of the glasses and they did not have the ability to thin out the lenses very much. So when I got them back, they were a lot thicker than I had imagined and I had white rimmed edges because they did not smooth them down. The eye doctor was also not precise during the eye exam because my prescription was inaccurate.
