After looking at local appliance stores, Sears, Best Buy, etc. for a upright freezer, we decided to visit the appliance store closest to our house. We visited Seattle Home Appliance at their Bothell store, and were pleasantly surprised by the low-key sales staff. They were able to order the freezer we wanted and it was priced lower than anywhere else we had looked. We purchased a hood vent from them for 20% off list during the same trip. They delivered all of the appliances within the week.
The story gets better: our stove died a couple of weeks ago and we decided we would check there to find out what the prices would be. I had researched Consumer Reports, and a Hotpoint model was the best rated model and the best value. Our sales person found out our budget and wound up recommending the same Hotpoint range, again at about 10% less than Sears.
They have been in business in Bothell since 1954, and they are worth a visit if you appreciate good prices and great customer service.
