I am a member of Bally's and can attend any one in the area. My favorite location is located in the Century Mall on Clark & Diversey. It has tons of machines, a large selection of classes (Kwando is awesome!), and a pool. Unfortunately, it's not easy for me to get down there anymore so I've started going to the Cumberland location which has amazing Kwando instructors. The location on Webster is pretty good too, though it doesn't have a pool. If you're looking at going to a gym - I'd recommend a Bally's.

I love the food at Leona's but the service at the Elston location leaves something to be desired. Whether I've visited on a weekend or a weeknight, it's easy to get a table but a little more difficult to order timely, get water refills and get the bill. The food is always good and plentiful, but perhaps carry out is a better option when you want Leona's in this neighborhood.

I went on a Wrigley field tour and had a great time. I'm not a huge sports fan but I enjoyed seeing the places one would not otherwise be able to see, my fiance is a huge sports (& Cubs) fan and enjoyed the tour and even learned a few pieces of trivia along the way. We checked out the press box, field boxes, away clubhouse, Cubs clubhouse, bleachers and dugout. The volunteer tour guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. And it's good to know that the entire ticket price (only $20) goes to the Cubs care charity that keeps kids sports teams in equipment, among other things.
Even if you're not a tourist or a die hard sports fan, I recommend this tour.

Mrs. Murphy's is an upscale Irish Bistro in the North Center neighborhood. This gut rehab is full of dark wood, high ceilings and subtle furnishings. The bar area is low lit while the dining area is brighter. Surprisingly, their were a couple of families with young children eating there when we arrived and as the room filled up, the noise level went up quite a bit though it was not obnoxious. The menu is not extensive but pleasantly diverse with twists on traditional Irish fare. I enjoyed the cheese plate appetizer, scallop entrée and Bailey's Irish Creme cheesecake for dessert. There is also a good beer and wine list, which has many great choices while not overwhelmingly large.
I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant for a nice evening out!
