Parent's Auto--expensive but reliable

I have heard some fantastic word-of-mouth by fellow South Minneapolis residents about Parent's Auto, located on the corner of 36th & Lyndale Ave. South. My husband and I have been their customers for 6 months now, and here is what we like about them:
*They diagnose efficiently & thoroughly give accurate estimates within 90 minutes of dropping off your car.
*If you can't afford all the repairs, there is absolutely no pressure to get a $700 job done. In fact, for those of us who do not know much about cars, they help you determine what is high priority and what can wait. *They work with your budget.
*They have excellent customer service and as a woman, I feel that I can trust them.
Here is what we don't like:
*Their tires are more expensive than other tire centers.
*The service costs are higher.
*I brought in my car for a tune-up and oil change and got a laundry list of other things I need, jacking the cost up $500 above what I expected to pay. HOWEVER, see above bullet points.
Overall, if you have had it with the big chains that keep nickel-and-diming you, try Parent's Auto.
