One major inconvenience about this Giant is that it has no self check out machines. You always have to rely on cashiers, and some of the ones working there are rather incompetent. The customer service there is not very good, either. They usually have this attitude like you are bothering them when in fact it's really just their job. This Giant also don't carry as much items as other ones. The Pharmacy is great, though. I have no complaints about them. In fact, the pharmacy assistant that helped me before were knowledgeable and very helpful.

I go to this grocery store usually due to the convenience and their weekly sale on milk. Tuesday is milk day! ($2.49/gallon). So when I go on Tuesdays, I would look around and they usually have some great deals on fresh produce. The store is kind of packed; it definitely doesn't have that supermarket spacey feeling. But it does ok. It's not the main grocery store that I shop at but I do pick up some great items from time to time. They also have a decent wine/alcohol section for a grocery store its size.

This is probably the best place to buy beads in the Southern Maryland area. They have a nice sized store and beads are organized in very neat and attractive manner. It's easy to find things, except for the items behind the counter, which you would have to ask for assistance. The staff is there to help you but they do get busy at times! The store is so fun to shop in that I'd easily spend more than an hour in there just browsing the beads! Very good seed bead and Swarovski crystals selection.

It's nice to have a bead boutique in the Kentland area. The store itself is pretty small, but they have increased their stock since they first opened. You can also sign-up on their mailing list and they actually mail out coupon post cards out and inform you of their sales. The original prices are a bit steep, but when they are on sale, they are more reasonable. They have mainly stone beads, and not much on seed beads and crystals.

This Petsmart is bigger than the nearby one in Gaithersburg, which is the one I frequent more, but I still like to come here for options in times when Gaithersburg store doesn't carry certain things. This store has more items than the other Petsmart and I am not sure if it's my imagination or not, but it seems that this one has fewer animal shoppers than other Petsmarts. The store is spacey and comfortable, and it's nice to browse around the bright and open store. They also have an animal clinic, which would make it very convenient for pet owners to take their pet here as a total-one-stop-shop.

This Borders bookstore looks small from the outside. It only occupies a not-so-big store front. You'd think that the store itself is probably very small inside, like a small independent bookstore. But once you go in, sure it doesn't look that big, but there is downstairs. In the back of the book store is a cafe, just like what other Borders have. The downstairs part consists mainly of the movies and music section. The selection is not so bad. I wouldn't say it's the same as other Borders in size, but I think it's adequate enough to hang out in there, especially at the cafe. The most recent addition I saw in the bookstore is that they added a pretty big section of graphic novels.
Granted, it's a bit smaller than other Borders, but it has its own charm.

When I saw this new DSW Shoe Warehouse before it opened, my heart skipped a beat. I absolutely love the store. My experiences with DSW Shoe Warehouse have been really really good. If you love shoes, you'd love this store! DSW carries A LOT of shoes for both men and women. Whether you are looking for casual, dress, or athletic shoes in whatever color/style you want, the chances are they probably have something similar to what you are looking for. Even when I don't need shoes, I like to go and just look at shoes, shoes and shoes. The prices are all discounted. You can find some designer shoes at some pretty good prices. Sometimes they have some huge discounts in their clearance department, which are color coded for percentage of discount. My latest deal was less than $9 for a pair of $90 Coach slippers. Can't beat that!! This DSW in Germantown is just as great as the other ones I've been to, but it's bigger and newer!

This is the only store that I know of that has escalators that can send shopping carts up and down between the first and second floors. It's kind of fun and that's what made this Target memorable to me. As implied, this Target has two stories and stock adequate merchandise on their shelves. It's located conveniently as an anchor store in the Washingtonian shopping center and it's pretty easy to find parking to shop here, as there are entrances on both the first and second floor, and the second floor entrance is attached to the parking structure so you can just go in from the second floor.
The store is clean and looks fairly new. The returns/customer service is fast and I've never had any problem with them. The atmosphere is nice and you don't feel stressed when shopping there.

I first signed up with United Air Temp for cleaning the air conditioning duct and other services because they approached me and offered me their services. At that time, I didn't know much about which company to use, and I took their words for it and got their "discount". I thought I got a pretty good deal (based on what I was told by them), but when I compared with my neighbors, I found out that what they charged was actually much more expensive than other companies. With that new information, I didn't want to renew my service contract with them when the contract was over. They gave me a hard time about it and kept on calling back. Even after I told them I don't want to continue their service on the phone, they called again to ask if I wanted to renew my contract. They kept on calling to the point that I had to screen my calls. After a while, they stopped calling me. I thought I was free from their calls until just recently they started calling again about whether I want their service since they'll be in my neighborhood on so and so date. They are definitely annoying. Next time I am just going to answer the phone and tell them to stop calling here.

When this Grand Mart opened a couple of years ago, it was pretty good. The selections were good for Asian groceries, the produce was fresh, and the prices were pretty decent. As time went on though, I've noticed a change for the worse. First of all, the produce section is no longer that fresh. They still offer a lot of different kinds of vegetables and fruits, but the quality has gone down. I used to be able to count on freshness of the vegetables, but the last few times I've been there, the vegetable leaves were wilted and the prices have gone up. The selection for Chinese grocery has also declined; they have stopped offering a lot of products that I remember seeing. I think the same goes for Japanese groceries. The store itself has become messier, and the prices have gone up. It has gotten so much worse that I no longer shop there anymore, but shop in Asian grocery stores farther away. It's a shame because it was good in the beginning and it just went down.
Lastly, one interesting note is that shopping carts mysteriously would disappear. That happened to me twice. Both times happened in the produce area. I had my cart near me, and I'd be picking vegetables, and before I know it, the cart was gone. I went all over the store to look for it and couldn't find it. I had several items in the cart, too. I thought it funny because it happened multiple times. It has never happened to me in other grocery stores in my life. Funny.
