If you want to do the Sex and the City thang with your girlfriends in midtown after work I highly recommend Maru Bar and Lounge in Koreatown. The atmosphere is very futuristic and hip with karaoke rooms to rent out and a bar on the second floor with white couches and very cool lighting. It is overpriced; I paid $5 for french fries. But go during happy hour which I think is before 8pm for half off specials. I think very few people know about this place yet since it is on the third floor with virtually no advertising outside for the public to see that it exists. You should check this place out after work! Look for the building that says Yellowstone and take the elevator to the third floor.

I HATE it when bartenders lie about the prices of drinks. That is what happened to me when I ordered a margarita. The menu said the dinner price was $5; he charged me nearly $9. I didn't have the nerve to go back and tell him which I should have. I also ordered a pannini from them and the next morning I woke up with the most horrible stomach pains. I had to take a day off from work and two days later still didn't feel back to normal. This might be an isolated incident but I advice people not to take their chances and go to the many other Irish pubs in Manhattan.

Their waffle fries are ok but for the money you can get better fries elsewhere. I recommend fleetwood diner or even ali baba for good french fries that are cheaper than Mr. Spots.Tubbys right next door has decent fries too.

I've been in Ann Arbor for six years and only tried Sottini's last month. Their sandwiches are great and cheaper than what you will get at other comparable places on the UM campus. Sottini's definitely needs to advertise themselves more because they have the potential to be very popular among the college students at UM. It is a bit far for the average student to walk from campus and that is unfortunate. I will walk the extra six blocks if it's worth it and Sottini's is much better than what you will get at Subway or Tubbys. More people should support family owned businesses. They tend to have better quality food anyway. I will definitely tell my friends about Sottini's.

Authentic chinese cuisine at a great price. I absolutely love their juicy dumplings and homemade noodles. You can't find a lot of places that offer authentic cuisine like this. According to reviews, their specialties include house special chicken, roasted whole pig, their dumplings, lai mein soup, and their lobster stir fry with ginger and scallions. If you are in DC and haven't tried this restaurant, get on the next subway to Chinatown for your next meal.

Move over Big Ten Burrito (BTB)! Burrito Joint makes an amazing burrito with fresher ingredients than BTB. The only thing BTB has that Burrito Joint doesn't is a great location on UM's central campus. Burrito Joint is about a 10-15 minute walk from central campus but it's worth it on a nice day and they also deliver. I don't even understand with this competition why Pancheros is still in business. Burrito Joint also adds more ingredients free of charge. Their vegetarian burrito includes guacamole and sour cream. Hot sauce and lettuce is free upon request. You have to try this place once and you will be hooked. I still like BTB but it can't beat Burrito Joint. Go now!

This is my favorite Starbucks in Ann Arbor. It is often very crowded but if you're lucky enough to find a place to sit it's a great place to study and meet up with friends. There is a basement area as well so there is a bit more room compared to the other Starbucks in the area. I love sitting on a couch by the fireplace with some apple cider or a Starbucks brioche and study.

HHA Services is also a very bad company that provides services and employees to St. John Hospital. If any of your parents, relatives, or friends are in the medical industry let them know not to have any alliances or partnerships with this company.
Also, if you are Asian or know Asians who live in the Detroit metro area please tell them that St. John has a history of discrimination against Asian Americans. Take your money elsewhere! Please email me for more information.
This hospital not only allows specific employees to be abused, they are mean to patients. One of my family members stayed at St. John Oakland and a former teacher stayed at the St. John Hospital on Moross near Grosse Pointe. Both said that the nurses were rude and unattentive to their needs. Seriously, if you want to have a better chance at coming out of the hospital alive go to Henry Ford or Beaumont!

Does anyone else think that paying more than $7 for a mediocre sandwich in the Midwest is expensive even in the 21st century? It amazes me that a turkey sandwich with lettuce, onions, and mustard can cost nearly $6 and cheese is EXTRA. There are other sandwiches that are more expensive depending on the bread they use (geesh). The sandwich was OK. The sandwich definitely wasn't Zingerman's quality or even Cosi quality. Amers has better sandwiches as well. I think for your money you can get better or even cheaper sandwiches around Ann Arbor. But if you don't mind dishing out a few extra dollars for the ambiance and being at a typical cafe/bakery then knock yourself out. At least it's conveniently located near campus...

In a city like New York, you can definitely find better and least expensive Thai restaurants than this place. My waiter was rude and my entree was bad. I felt like I had wasted $50 at the end of my meal. I sent an email to management and they emailed me back telling me to call them. I called the manager or whoever was in charge of the place and he told me he would send me a certificate. I gave him my address but he didn't even seem interested and I doubt he wrote it down. It's been nearly four months since my initial complaint and I haven't received a certificate and don't plan on ever receiving it. Don't go here. For $50 you can get much better food and service elsewhere!
