The Rio is located off the strip but has a great New Orleans themed casino and décor. Haven’t stayed in the rooms, so I can’t comment on them, but they have great entertainment on the premises and I would probably choose to stay there in the future even though it’s off the strip. The casino was a lot of fun, too!

Easy to find your texts for class as well as any school needs you might have (notebooks, school apparel, other leisure books and gift items, cards, candy…you name it, they have it!). Gets really crowded early in the semester, but they make it so easy with the organized textbook sections and lines for customers.

We really enjoyed the Hoover Dam! It’s just breathtaking, and it’s amazing to see what man built over the water. It puts you in awe! You can take a tour or just visit on your own. Walk on one...
We really enjoyed the Hoover Dam! It’s just breathtaking, and it’s amazing to see what man built over the water. It puts you in awe! You can take a tour or just visit on your own. Walk on one side and you’re in Nevada; on the other you are in Arizona. Wild! Drive across it or walk, you won’t be disappointed!

Nice pool area, great indoor aquarium…check out the shark tank and have your picture taken, too. SO HUGE that you can get lost in here, but isn’t that typical Vegas style. Lots to do and see, and...

Lots to do and see, and it’s first class all the way. Definitely worth making this a part of your Vegas visit, whether you stay or just stop in to gamble and visit with the marine life!

Overlook the strip and take in the view of all of the other casinos and hotels. It's quite breathtaking and really gives you a quiet spot to look out on the bustling Vegas strip. You do have to pay to get up in the tower …and take special elevators. A few good restaurants, and I believe there is even one at the top of the tower, though we didn't eat there. Definitely worth checking out!

We didn’t stay here but had a great time in the shopping mall as well as the casino. There are some great galleries if you are into artistic photography or artwork in general, and we even made a purchase while in one of them. Lots of higher end stores….win at the casino and treat yourself in the shops. Definitely check it out while in Vegas!

We had a great time at New York New York in Vegas! We stayed right across the street at MGM Grand and could walk across the bridge over the street and go right into NY, NY. We ate at one of the restaurants (very good), rode the roller coaster (fun but bangs your head around A LOT), stopped by Coyote Ugly, and had a great time while there!

If you are bringing children, you might want to stay at Circus Circus, as they have an indoor theme park. Otherwise, I wouldn’t say it’s the place to stay on the strip. It’s older and really is geared towards families with their children. Not very much we’d stick around to see otherwise, so I would say if you’re traveling with kids, check it out – if not, don’t worry – you won’t miss a thing!

So much fun! The wax museum, indoor mall, gondola rides both inside & out (fabulous and worth the wait & money), unbelievable décor…so great, I would recommend it anytime! I hear the suites are fantastic, but we didn’t stay there this trip – though I hope to stay in the future. We thoroughly enjoyed the Venetian and kept going back. Check it out!

Not a favorite of mine, this resort was dark, not that enticing, and really did not do anything to put the Vegas energy into it at all. Blah…not really worth going to at all. We have friends who stayed there and wouldn’t do it again – between the inclinator (they can’t have an elevator because of the pyramid shape) and the odd-shaped rooms, they didn’t like it at all.
