Embassy Suites is the most unique arrangement for a hotel. Basically all the same, coast-to-coast, they feature a monster atrium and double-value rooms with essentially two rooms; two
TV's; two phones; etc. . . . very nicely set-up. Lots of little extras. Great service, friendly staff, free breakfast party every morning and Manager's reception in the evening (free drinks at the side-bar).
Everything you'd expect from a reputable Hotel plus a great restaurant "Bystecca" (means "steak" in Italian).
check out their special productions like Mother's Day Feast; Thanksgiving Feast and other events.
Great central location at the intersection of 287; route 46; route 80.
We reserved some rooms for a wedding that we held at the "Zeris Inn" (check out out review of Zeris) and all of our friends and relatives that elected to stay at the Embassy Suites were totally thrilled and satisfied with the decision to stay there.

If I wanted to see a "major" motion picture with great special effects (like Superman Returns; Titanic; or other blockbuster) I'd rather spring for a few bucks more and see that type of movie at the Sony in East Hanover or even hike down to the Loews at the WillowBrook Mall.

Someone told us about this little restaurant tucked away on a side-street with a great menu, excellent food, and terrific value.
It's a classy little restaurant (the waiters are in tuxedos) and it's B.Y.O.B..
They can accommodate little family gatherings although it might be a tight squeeze. Even so, all our guests "rave" about this little 'Ristorante'.
Although you might not need reservations, I wouldn't risk it . . . . call ahead . . this place has a great reputation and is always busy.

When we began planning our first-born's wedding, the first thing we did was "scramble" to reserve a place for the reception.
We looked at all the so-called "famous" 'Manors', 'Palaces', 'Resorts', and other 'over-the-top' wedding-reception venues.
We almost overlooked "Zeris" of Mountain Lakes until we made arrangements for guests to block-out a reasonably priced number of rooms at the Embassy Suites in Parsippany.
Embassy Suites agreed to "shuttle" guests within 5 miles to the reception location for free. . . . . So . . . we started to narrow our search and came up with "Zeris".
Asking around, we immediately were made aware of "Zeris'" impeccable reputation. Andy, one of the owners, immediately put our mind at ease with his professionalism and extensive experience in fullfilling memorable wedding receptions.
This was one of the best wedding experiences We've ever enjoyed and it didn't cost a fortune (not even close to what the "Manors" would have cost.) .
With the money we saved we added even more shuttles to the hotels so we wouldn't have to worry about any alcohol related incidents ruining the memory of the occasion.
Andy and his parther Chris also run the restaurant called Chris-Andys (Chrisandis) which is also excellent (see someone else's post about "Chrisandis") .
Thank you "Zeris" for a wonderful wedding!

When we needed a deck we had no idea what to consider.
Jimmy Carroll's Contracting created a great looking deck for us.
I've seen some of the decks on my neighbors house and ours looked so much more distinctive since Carroll created it with "Swiss Railings" and supersolid main posts with overlapping caprails that resisted warping.
I have to say that when the heavy winter snow storms arrived it was easy for me to merely shovel the snow under the "swiss-rail"; . . . .
Lot's if room under the swiss-type spindles to push snow under(example)===>
http://www.decksworld.com/deck-02.jpg
. . . . otherwize, if I had the "spindles" that my neighbors have, . . . .
Example of bad spindles that snow can't be shoveled under==>
http://www.contractorreferralservices.com/images/new/after-deck-remodel3.jpg
. . . . . We would have had to lift the snow/ice up and over the rails since basic and skinny spindles go straight to the bottom of the deck floor and ice can't fit between the closely spaced spindles.
Even the steps were very well done and impressive.

Peter Smith was fast, professional and reasonably priced.
We were very comfortable with him and his crew and he can add me to his list of satisfied references.
He even entertained my requests for special installation of "unusual and innovative gutters"
http://www.rainhandler.com
. . . . and he offered to fix my fireplace chimney so I wouldn't have to paint it anymore (that's a relief).
Additionally he discovered and fixed a hazardous bird's-mouth defect in the roof beams.
I've heard lots of horror stories about roofers and a shoddy roof job can ruin the most expensive investment you have. I'm glad we chose Peter W. Smith Roofing & Siding.

I'm constantly checking out the "zillions" of pizza places in this area.
This little hole-in-the-wall is easy to miss as you whiz by on route 46 west, but one day I spotted it while getting my car washed (the car wash is right next door) and I thought I'd grab a slice or two.
What a surprise!! the pizza is big and not "chintzy" like some places that seem to skimp on the cheese and other ingredients or make the pie so thin that it's "limp".
With all the pizza parlors in my town (and some are very good) I always gravitate back to Bambinos for their outstanding pies.
Note: I'm not giving Bambinos the top star-rating, only because the place has very little room to sit and eat in. So . . . just order and take it home.

Now I "KNOW" that Auto Dealerlerships are notoriously highpriced when it comes to car repairs, but I've had experiences with places like Firestone Complete AutoCare that have alomost ruined my car.
I would strongly recommend that anything having to do with engine work such as Timing-belt or water-pump or other Engine Related repairs be taken to a reliable and competant Dealership.
I have a Chrysler that has always served me well and it is now up over 100,000 miles.
Local repair shops could not install the water-pump properly and that lead to a ruined distributor, busted radiator and hoses and thermostat and radiator cap and on and on and on . . .
Other shops have even ruined the installation of the, all too critical, timing-belt and rather than fix it they told me I would need a new transmission.
Dover Dodge and Chrysler discovered that the timingbelt was off a tooth or two and that the hydraulic "tensioner" was all that was needed to get my car up and running, good-as-new.
I'd recommend taking your car to them and paying the little extra rather than having to go groveling back to Firestone Complete AutoCare to have them address the damage that their shoddy workmanship did to my vehicle.
My wife's car is due for a water-pump; timing-belt and a check engine-light issue and I'm not wasting my time with Firestone Complete Autocare or other repair shops on such a critial service. . . . . We're calling Brian and Joe and scheduling an appointment.

Sal's is a classic "Tonsorial Parlor" where all the guys in town show up to get sheared.
He can cut your hair in 2 minutes or they can do special "fades" and other styles that younger customers demand.
For an regular hair cut he only charges $11 and he has four barber chairs so the wait in minimal.
Sal's is the oldest and most well know "tonsorial" in town.

Incredibly efficient, friendly and fast service makes the "always packed" little take-out extablishment hum with happy customers who keep coming back for the fine Chinese food that is always consistently great.
I've never had a bad experience and all I see are happy faces in there.
