If you are a bargain shopper, you will love Jeremys Retail. I don’t like that you can’t return sale items (ie practically all the stuff in the store) if you buy them. They have a great selection of brands here and the clothing isn’t that cheap even though it is discounted. You have to spend hours here and dig through a bunch of stuff in order to find just a couple good items.

Isda & Co is two stores, one is a boutique and other is like an outlet. Isda & Co’s outlet is basically any girl’s dream because you can find fancy stuff here for rock-bottom prices! Amongst the items you can find here are scarves, blouses, pants, and coats. The only problem with the outlet store is that it sells clothes from last season.

I love Lingba Lounge’s Thai food. The service is attentive. I love that there is karaoke on Sundays and the DJ is fantastic. The atmosphere is very hip and a lot of cool people hang around this place. The decor is fantastic, you are really feel like you are in Southeast Asia. If you go here, I recommend you to get the Bowl of Monkeys.

The Parkway Theater is only the best movie theater (pub theater, actually) in town! Not only is admission really cheap (it’s $5, and the price is 2 for $5 on Wednesdays), you get to relax on comfy couches with beer, pizza, and of course, great popcorn. The staff chooses the movies that the theater plays; most of the time the movies are fantastic.

This store is in a very convenient location because it’s in downtown Berkeley, and it’s near BART. The prices here are terrific and you won’t be able to find the items here for a lower price somewhere else. The staff is relatively young and they seem to know quite a lot about what they’re doing. I think the only bad thing about the store is that the buyback price is really low.

I’m not too fond of the staff, but I love the comics! Comic Relief has probably the most extensive selection of comics and graphic novels in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful but they don’t like it when you read the comics in their store (they basically just want you to buy something and leave). Comic Relief has some pretty sweet deals sometimes, for example, buy one comic and get another half off. I recommend!

The atmosphere is great and the service is speedy. I also love that this place has corn bread, and I am in love with their tofu sandwich. The staff is very polite and helpful.

I am not too fond of the bartenders because I don’t think they’re very friendly. The beer is pretty good. Everything here is cheap though, and I have grown really fond of their fries.

Berkeley Market is an average grocery store. It is a little dingy and there are usually not a lot of people there. The shelves are usually pretty empty too. I have never bought food here because it doesn’t seem to be of very good quality, but I go here once in a while to get a magazine or two on my way to work.
