You must check out this Taqueria for the most incredible fresh hot Tortillas on the face of the earth. Wheat, Corn and Flour all absolutely delicious at about $1.00 per package. They are so incredible you'll be tempted to open the package on the way home and take a nibble. Why on earth do people in Pacifica buy lousy mass produced tortillas in supermarkets for twice the price?

The Corral Steakhouse is very difficult to find, I've lived in Pacifica my whole life and it took me 3 trips before I found this quaint restaurant hidden in a residential area at the Park Pacifica Horse Stables. When we finally "found" this gem we were quite delighted, delicious Blue Cheese Mushroom Burgers w/fries, great Shrimp Scampi over linguini, but the real draw is the steaks, the filet's are about 8oz's big tender and delicious. If you love mushrooms order the Diane, with an addictive mushroom gravy that will bring you back many times. The only menu item I've found fault with was a VERY expensive ($9) appetizer Caesar w/flavorless bay shrimp, very disappointing. Now back to the positives did I mention the Chocolate soufflé which is more like an ooey gooey chocolate cake, worth the wait, to have it cooked to order and big enough for 3 to share. Great affordable house wine too....A guaranteed delight for all diners.

Being a lifelong resident of Pacifica I was excited at the prospect of having a "north beach" type of Italian restaurant. Well I'll have to look further because Portifino certainly does not fit the bill. Started with two cocktails in the bar for happy hour, waited about 1/2 hour for the drinks they were fine, and were advertised as half price. Asked if you could carry our cocktail tab to the restaurant and was told that was fine. The service was pretty bad, the prices were very high for the average quality of the food. We ordered a chocolate cake for dessert which was to come with some delicious sounding sauce, the dessert came "ice cold" with no sauce, when we asked about the sauce the reply "don't have any tonight". Then the topper was, upon investigating the bill, we were charged full price for the drinks, and an 18% service charge was added to the bill (2 diners), when questioned, the drinks were an oversight, and 18% is company policy. Hey they don't even let you know this, I'm sure a lot of diners have not "checked" their bill, and add a tip on top....What a ripoff...Oh yeah the ocean view is unsurpassed,
