I have tried this place a few times, trying to give it the benefit of the doubt. However, each and every time I have been disappointed. This place is disgusting. The pizza is limp and contains zero flavor. The calzones are delivered RAW! Yes, raw. My calzone (on both occasions) was still pure dough. Another time a kid was running in and out of the kitchen tossing this nasty ball around hitting food surfaces and food and the staff did nothing about it!
DO NOT go here. Want good pizza? Go to Acropolis in Kirkland instead. Heck, buy a frozen pizza, will be far better than this place.
[check out their food inspection reports...they speak for themselves]

...this place sure doesn't. I have eaten the pizza, calzone, salad & garlic bread and none are note worthy. The calzone came uncooked (the bottom was still dough and not cooked through) and the pizza was pretty bad. The pizza had almost zero flavor and was just a limp mess of cheese.
Each time I go in, the staff seems to be goofing off and not focusing on the cooking and one time an obnoxious kid (around 10) was running in and out of the kitchen tossing a wet ball around.
I have lived in Kirkland for 25+ years and this place has never lived up being called a pizza joint. Just not a great place...go elsewhere for pizza.

If you are even considering hosting an event at Studio 116 in Seattle THINK TWICE. My cousin booked a wedding at Studio 116 months in advance, prepaid and even stopped by Studio 116 the day before her wedding to set-up [Feb 2007]. When she arrived on her wedding day, Studio 116 said they had double booked and my cousin was S.O.L.
What business would operate like that? Who would do that to a bride on her wedding day? The persons who own this place should be ashamed of themselves and should be considered of the lowest character.
Everyone, please, think twice before considering Studio 116. They operate under shady business practices.

I finally went to the BluWater Bistro at Carillon Point. It was a great change to the former Cucina Cucina that used to occupy that space. The atmosphere is elegant, private and the view wonderul. There was a good mixture of patrons (young & old) and it was quiet enough to hold a conversation. The food was wonderful and the staff very attentive. We were treated to a nice surprise when the bill came and the waitress said the dessert was on the house. Great experience...a must try. (free underground parking)

I have recently been interviewing contractors for a bathroom remodel. I have since discovered I needed to hold off on the project until I have a better sense of what I want to do & enough money to do it.
In my search I came across a contractor I would definitely hire. Others at Microsoft have also recommended Chris based on the quality of work he did for them. While I did not use Chris, our interactions, his knowledge & attention to detail has urged me to post this recommendation for those in the market for a contractor.
Pros about Christ:
-handles large & small jobs [kitchen, bathroom, decks, room additions, etc]
-seemed reasonably priced compared to other contractors
-very knowledgeable about the work I wanted done
-Time estimate was reasonable
-Very personable & professional
-Not bad to look at either [did I just say that? :) ]

I admit that I am a Starbucks fan, but really wanted to give Peets a try. The minute I walked in I knew it would not stack up against Starbucks. The scones were dense & dry, the Freddo was disgusting and the ambiance was not comfortable.
The Freddo is the Starbucks frappuccino equivalent and does not even come close. I took 3 sips and tossed the rest.
I will stick with Starbucks...why mess with a good thing.
I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The minute I walked in the door I knew this place would not disappoint. The exterior is a bit fooling and it is not until you cross the threshold that you realize the little gem that is Tropea. We went to dinner on a Friday night and the entire restaurant was filled with chatter, laughter and families getting together. It felt like I had stepped into New Yorks Little Italy. The ambiance was A+, the food was A+ and the wait staff was very friendly and accommodating.
I would highly recommend this place to someone looking for a romantic neighborhood restaurant, families, and people wanting take-out.
Do give this place a try!

My family and I have been going to Calabria for years. We traditionally go for Christmas Eve dinner. The food is wonderful and the atmosphere relaxing. Probably my favorite Italian place in the Redmond/Kirkland area.
Location: On Lake Washington Blvd (behind Mixtura & Hectors).
Parking: Free parking in the lot between Mixtura and World Wraps
Food: Authentic Italian (pizza, pasta, chicken, seafood, other meats)
Prices: Average ($12ish for a pasta dish, $20 for a seafood special)
Ambience: Relaxing, somewhat romantic, they have a piano player at night.
What to know: Request the alcove if you have 4 or fewer in your party. It is a private little area, perfect for having private conversations or a romantic dinner

Overall: Would not recommend, nor return myself.
This place was about as tranquil as Super Cuts hair salon. When I visit a spa, I am used to soothing sounds, smells, ambiance and the Metamorphosis Spa lacked all of that. I went for a massage, pedicure and sunscape (tan).
Cons:
1. Very pricey
2. Massage rooms not private; hear everything going on around you
3. No changing room, but rather, a small closet with a curtain
4. Lack of and caring staff
5. Spa beds did not offer the face donate, so your head was craned to the side while laying face down.
Pros:
Hmm, other than it being in New York, I am hard-pressed to come up with a pro.

I was in the mood for a last minute massage and my usual spa was booked (Pro Club). I had seen this spa in downtown Kirkland and thought I would give it a try.
Overall: I would recommend to others and return myself
Pros:
Location (downtown Kirkland)
Price- $75/hr (cheaper than Pro Club & Gene Juarez)
Massage Rooms: Very tranquil, dark, smells good, great music & sounds, peaceful; all-in-all very good ambiance which is important to me
Cons:
My masseuse was average. I felt her strokes were rushed and not fluid and as relaxing as I would like, but I would see her again despite it (Darci).
Do give this location a try for any spa service. They also have yoga, which I hear is really good. They focus on healing, holistic and general wellness.
