Getting a table on a weekend at Houlihan's can require a great deal of patience or luck, or both. Often the wait is over an hour. They do have some nice outdoor seating during the warm weather, which is very pleasant. Their food is good, standard pub-style fare and they always have a few appealing specials. The service is business-like but pretty good and efficient. Their high chairs are not always in good repair, so that is a little difficult when eating with children. Their desserts are good but too big for even two people to share.

When you approach Dunkin Donuts, you can smell the donuts baking from a block away. What a wonderful smell! It just makes you hungry for donuts. Dunkin Donuts usually has a good variety of freshly made donuts available. Their coffee is usually pretty good, especially the Latte Lite and the Coolatta in summer. Their prices are a little on the steep side and are comparable to Starbucks, but without the good atmosphere of Starbucks. It's a good place to go for a weekend breakfast treat.

I do most of my grocery shopping at Pathmark because it is the only supermarket within walking distance. Their sales are not too bad but I have found the prices at Shoprite to be generally better. Pathmark does double coupons up to 99ยข, and they occasionally have triple coupons. They do not have a wide selection of products but they have enough for simple daily needs. The store always seems to be dirty and disorganized. One of the managers is very surly and mean to customers; she always has a scowl on her face.

This branch of McDonald's has all the usual menu items that any McDonald's carries. I have found that the workers do not keep the restaurant as clean as I would like. Although they seem to rarely be very busy, there is always trash on the floor and on the tables, and the tables never seem to be wiped down for spills. The bathrooms are also not kept very clean and there is often no soap for washing your hands. Because the restaurant is not clean, I would not order anything here except a soda.

Great Wall Chinese Restaurant has good, standard Chinese restaurant fare. If you have special dietary needs, they can make a dish especially for you. We were ordering some vegetarian food there recently and they were able to customize some of their other dishes to remove the meat for us, at no extra charge for the special order. Their service is fast and delivery is free if you order a minimum amount. Their food was tasty but nothing spectacular. Their prices were good and the food was very fresh. I would order from here again.

I love Subway sandwiches -- they are always made fresh, right when you are at the restaurant, and the food is fast but not oily or greasy or unhealthy. You can choose the type of bread you want, the meat, the cheese, and the toppings. They have a large variety of toppings, including iceberg lettuce, spinach, tomato, onion, green pepper, hot peppers, black olives, cucumbers, carrots, and sweet peppers. You can also choose the condiments for the sandwich, including Subway's own blends like Chipotle Ranch. Subway is my favorite place to go for a quick lunch.

Spirito Grill is located on the Hudson River waterfront, facing the Manhattan skyline. The night views from Spirito Grill are just fabulous -- the restaurant is right across the river from Times Square and you can see all of midtown and downtown clearly. The food is Italian-inspired, but not too heavy. Their prices are what I would consider to be mid-range. The service is usually pretty good. They can be busy, especially on weekend nights, but during the week it is not too difficult to get a table pretty quickly.

Visiting Vigneto is a very pleasant experience -- the shop is well laid out, nicely decorated, clean, and the owner is very knowledgeable about wines. They carry a nice selection of wines and a small selection of unusual beers. They are the only place in Weehawken to carry many of their items. The store has a sign in the window that it is pet friendly, and I have found that to be correct. Their prices are competitive but a little higher than some of the other stores in the area, but the atmosphere of the store is so much better than the rest of the neighborhood that the slightly higher prices are worth it.

The sales people are easy to find when you need them and very helpful. There is often a line at the dressing rooms. Sales are not too frequent but you can find some good deals when they do have sales. The clothes are well made and will wear well, and are flattering for most women. She makes very nice business and upscale casual clothes.

The store is generally kept pretty clean but can get messy toward the end of the day, especially during the Christmas season. Their prices are competitive but not a great deal. Worth visiting if you know what you want.
