Rosie's Bakery in Chestnut Hill is delectable. They have the best pasteries ranging from chocolate chip cookies, scones, and the infamous Orgasm Brownie. Everything there is good. They also have ice cream, frozen yogurt, coffee, and espresso. Personally though, I go just for the cookies and brownies and pass on the beverages. They have several locations but I can only vouch for the Chestnut Hill locale.

Ok so in Brighton you pretty much have 2 options for supermarkets: Shaws and Stop and Shop. I recently took a trip to Roche Bro's in Roslindale and it was so worth it. They have such an amazing produce section. They have every cut of meat you could ask for and lovely service. They even have a little area it sit down and enjoy a cup o'joe. Its a little bit of a schlep from Brighton but if you find yourself in the area its definately worth popping in and checking out.

They also have a small market where you can pick up milk and other essentials. Its a great local spot to pick up a quick lunch.

The best part is, you get your own personal scrub brushes and clippers so you don't have to worry about sanitary issues. Everyone there is so fast and meticulous that you are in and out of there in no time. They are the best local place to get a mani and pedi. Not to mention they do waxing and massages!

Eyes Over Copley on 10 Huntington Avenue has the hottest frames around. With a ridiculous amount of chains around, its nice to shop at a ma and pop shop and get personalized help. They have a large selection of designer opthomic frames as well as sunglasses. There is an optometrist and licensed optician on site. Its a very comfortable atmosphere and a fun place to be. Also, there have been celebrity sightings there, recently Ashlee Simpson and entourage were seen purchasing Marc Jacobs sunglasses there! Also, they accept most major insurances so its pretty likely that your eye exam will be mostly covered by your insurance. It is also easily accessible by the Copley T stop on the Green line or the Back Bay stop on the Orange line.

I am a really picky cheese steak eater and not by choice. Born in the city of Brotherly Love has set me up for a life long obsession with cheese steaks. I have tried several places in Brighton and Boston and Moogy's takes the cake. They have many wild combinations of subs but I personally enjoy the B.C., a meat filled sub with provolone and American cheese ooozing out of the sub. The prices are quite reasonable as well. Also, they have great fries which you can enjoy plain, with Old Bay crab spices, or chive fries with ranch dressing. Definitely check it out!
