I go through phases with tanning. I know its terrible for your skin, causes pre-mature aging, and will make you look like an aged Louis Vuitton handbag but sometimes I just can't help myself. There is a place in West Roxbury that is not only a tanning salon but more like a spa! They have Mystic Tan which is great for non-UV tanning and hydration therapy with soothes the skin and makes it soft for days. The staff is incredible and knowledgeable and I think I will be spending a lot more time there now that I have found it.

There is a cute little Italian bakery in Revere that has the best Sicilian pizza and pastries. My boyfriend and I bought a whole pizza for $20. It had 24 slices! This thing was enormous! We also got half moon cookies, cannoli's, and eclairs, all reasonably priced. I love this place!

Salumeria Italiana is the best little Italian market there is! I just went there today and was in awe of all the delicious Italian delicacies. It is a tiny little place but so worth the closterphobia. I got some wonderful freshly baked bread, parmigiana reggiano cheese, and prosciutto of course. Now, the place ain't cheap but the stuff is so good and authentic and fresh that you are getting what you pay for.

I didn't understand the roast beef phenomenon when I first moved to Mass but I soon found out. Kelly's roast beef is an institution. I personally like the Kelly's in Natick, its easy to get to and you don't have to worry about seagulls pooping on your food. I enjoy the bbq sauce on my sandwich as well as a side on onion rings, which are awesome. The seafood is excellent as well but I just LOVE the roast beef. Also, on your way out, take home an order of chicken fingers. Put them in your fridge. Eat them the next day cold......YUM!

I love a good burrito and was having a hard time finding one around town and then came Qdoba. Delicious, hearty burritos. When I went through my healthy phase, I was even able to order my burrito without the tortilla! The chicken burrito is my favorite but I have heard great things about the steak burrito as well. I love that you can watch your food being made and pick what kind of beans and salsa you want. The value is great considering how huge these things are. They also have a wide variety of condiments such as the Jalepeno Tabasco sauce and wonderful hot sauce. Its my favorite burrito place in Boston.

Eagle's Deli is so cheap and so good its criminal. They have without a doubt the best chicken fingers in Brighton. They give you so much food that you will have to take some home with you. It will fill your stomach without emptying your wallet. They also have incredible fries and onion wings. Also, the chicken fingers are awesome cold the next morning.

I had one bad experience at Not Your Average Joe's (NYAJ) and 20 good ones. The food is tasty and the atmosphere is fun. When I did have a bad experience I filled out a comment card and sent it in. Shortly after, a personalized hand written apology was sent to me along with a $20 gift card. I appreciated the apology and will definitely give NYAJ another try. One of my favorites items on the menu is the Goat Cheese Salad. They also have a great bar and tons of creative cocktails. Its worth checking out.

Nick's is in Newton Upper Falls which isn't around the corner if you live in Brighton but is soooo worth driving to. They have an amazing Greek salad with grilled chicken that they serve with an enormous piece of pita bread. The salad is huge and there is usually some left over from lunch for a mid-night snack or lunch the next day.

Japan has come to Coolidge Corner. I love this place. The private sitting is perfect for an intimate lunch and the upstairs seating is great for parties. The sushi is wonderful, some of the best in the area and the noodle soups and salads are to die for. Its a bit pricey but its worth every cent.
