Have had several meals there and find the quality to be good but their serving portions to be grotesque. Makes you wonder - quantity overriding quality. Recently ordered a dish with a corn side-dish and was treated to the corn silk along with corn. I know they can do better because I've had better. On the dessert and service areas, they rock!

Enjoyed a fine Saturday night dinner in Tallasse at Johnny G's. Opted for the buffet over the menu. Best fried catfish, and bread pudding I've tasted in a long time. Even more enjoyable due to the excellent service. Its a little ways down Hwy 229 form I85 (exit 26), but worth the trip.

While visiting NLR recently I visited the Lakewood restraunt to try Memphis style ribs and was extremely disappointed. I was seated at a booth freshly cleaned with some noxious liquid. After I dried the table, most of the odor was eliminated. Ordered ribs, waitress asked if I wanted wet or dry or both; I said both along with beans and mac-n-cheese as sides. Bread arrived first then ribs. The bread was stale and tasteless, no butter. Wet ribs were barely edible but the dry were awful. The dry side was caked with this nasty salty concoction, no recognizable flavor other than SALT. I scraped most of the heavy salt concoction off and tasted the naked rib, absolutely tasteless except for salt. The sides were a joke, tiny portions with very little flavor. Not a good experience and defiinitely wouldn't return or recommend.
