There comes a time in life when we need to start thinking about the quality of our loved ones lives as they grow older. Sycamore Village Assisted Living offers extraordinary Senior Care when the time is right to place a loved one that no longer can function on a daily basis alone. Sycamore Village is located in a small town in Swansea, Illinois nestled in a secluded area. Recently, I took a tour of this lovely facility and met with the Admissions Representative. She took me for a tour and it was like walking down a small downtown street. Sycamore offers a hair salon, post office, library with computer and internet, upgraded big screen tv's, ice cream parlor, game room, exercise facility, a very desirable gift shop, and much more.. Personally, I would love to buy gifts for someone there myself. The dining room reminded me of the Ritz Carlton with lovely coverings on the table and a menu of choice. The residents are allowed to choose their own time for dining. Sycamore Village resident rooms were roomy, with a refrigerator, and microwave. The decor was warm and inviting. They offer apartment, private, or semi-private rooms to fit your budget. The certified staff members are available in the community to embrace the individual members needs. Although, we don't like to think about the possibility of placing a loved one in a home, it's wonderful to know that Sycamore Village exits when the time is right.

Amarillo Tex's is located on the West End of Belleville about 2 minutes from where I live. This is a great place to dine in Belleville. The service is great, servers are friendly and make you feel welcome. This restaurant offers Steaks, Steaks, and More Steaks. A real favorite is the Top Sirloin. You can choose the 8oz., 12 oz., or even the 72 oz. If you can eat the 72 oz. Sirloin in 1 hour it on the house.
They also offer the T-Bone, Filet Mignon, KC Strip, Rib-eye, Jumbo Shrimp, Crab Legs, Grilled Salmon, and Baby Back Ribs. These entrees are served with your choice of Loaded Baked Potato, Sweet Potato, Fried Okra, Corn in the Husk, or several other choices. The food is wonderful. The prices are reasonable and you do go home hungry.

Dr. Mark Irwin has been my physician for over 9 years, and I think he is a very professional, caring person. He is extremely busy with probably too many patients, but takes the time to sit down and thoroughly go over all of your concerns during your appointment. He is great with the elderly, also. I used to take my mother to him, and he always took the time to find our her needs. He is pleasant, warm, and professional. His office staff is friendly, caring, and they always return your calls. I would highly recommend Dr. Irwin to anyone in need of a great medical physician.

Smokey Bones Restaurant located in Fairview Heights, Illinois is one of the greatest places around to eat. They have great Ribs, Chicken, Fish, Appetizers, and a really fun atmosphere.
When you first walk in there is a circle fireplace that is terrific on those cold evenings. There are audio sets at each table for you to enjoy watching and listening to your favorite sports program as you eat.
I love going there for the food, the service, and the uplifting mood. If your close to a Smokey Bones restaurant give it a try. You will not leave hungry!

This is a small and friendly hair salon with experienced stylists. They are friendly and really take the time to listen to what you are requesting. I love the catchy name and recommend this salon to everyone.
