I went here for the first time in March 2007 with my sister.
We got a table right away, but it was packed. Sure sign to me on first impression that it's popular! I'm not sure if they have a smoking section because no one asked our preference.
It took us at least 15 minutes to go through this HUGE menu they have. SO many things on there sounded so great, it made it hard to choose! LOTS of variety. Definitely not just breakfast items either.
I think our first waitress went on break or went home, but she was nice. Our second one wasn't the best, but okay. She seemed much friendlier though when we were leaving and tipped her well.
I love the building. It's older, but really nice. Gives it a cool atmosphere. Perfect place to just sit back and have coffee and conversation.
My sister had a GIGANTIC breakfast. I haven't seen her eat so much in a LONG time! She had blueberry pancakes, eggs, bacon and hash browns. Big portions! Was especially nice that they put powdered sugar on top of the pancakes! Nice touch!
My hash browns weren't quite done enough, were like a baked potato consistency, but were good and lots of 'em. I got a basket of fried breaded mushrooms that were really good. Just not many for the price. I think it was $7.00 for those.
Overall, the prices were great. It was only $20.00 + tip for the two of us to pig out. There were a lot of region ethnic foods on there that sound wonderful! Like potato pancakes! I think it's a Greek family that runs the place.
We were really happy with Grandma Sally's on our "girl's morning out!" We will most definitely go back!

I had been hearing great things about this place for years and had been dying to go there. I finally went to Jimmy's in March 2007 with my sister and her family. I must say, I don't know what all the hype was about. I was pretty disappointed.
First off, we wanted to be seated in smoking/bar area, but we were squished into a table in the corner there. Where I was sitting it was hard to get in and out of my chair which was really close to the wall. We were also right by the entrance and got a cold draft every time someone came in or went out. One guy was holding it open for a few minutes. Not sure if he worked there or was a patron.
We were greeted by the waitress right away, but got carded for drinks. I don't mind being carded, but it was a huge ordeal. The waitress took our ids with her. Another guy came over (manager?) with them and wanted to see our credit cards to match the signatures. No telling what would've happened if we didn't have credit cards.
My sister couldn't get a drink because her id has not been replaced from when her purse was stolen, but she offered to show them her police ticket for id to prove she was over 21. According to a sign on the front door, If you're under 21 you have to leave after 10:00. So, she couldn't drink, but they didn't want to check for that. ??? My nephew was with us and they were a bit rude about informing us he would have to be out by 10, which we already knew since seeing the sign when we walked in.
It took us awhile to look over the menu. We didn't see a whole lot that sounded that great. When the food came, my sister was eating a couple bites of veggies first, but when she took a bite of her chicken, she looked like she was going to be sick. She didn't want to be rude by sending it back, but I asked if she could get something else instead when the waitress came back. She kept looking at the menu, but ultimately didn't get anything else, so she didn't even get dinner.
My food was okay, but was a veggie wrap with fries. So it was nothing more than a salad in a tortilla for $8.00. Eating the second half, I noticed it was pretty salty and my sister's boyfriend's burger was really salty, too. I guess it's that old bar trick, trying to make you thirsty and order more drinks.
They had a kid's menu, but my nephew is picky, like most kids I suppose. His chicken tenders were a bit over browned so he refused to eat most of them. His drink was in a huge glass, too. Too big for a kid sitting at a table to drink out of without dumping it over and making a mess.
They removed my sister's meal from the check and comped my nephew's dessert, which was nice, but barely makes up for the prices and everything else. I had gotten a well margarita and discovered it was $6 or $6.50 when we got the bill! It was pretty weak, too. I've never paid that much for cheap tequila anywhere else. (Or charged that much at places I have tended bar.) I'm glad I only got ONE!
So, what started out as an exciting time, going out on a RARE occasion, turned out to be a real let down.
We were there on a week night, so there wasn't much of a crowd either. I guess if you went there on a weekend night JUST for beers or something and some ambiance, it MIGHT be a good time. If my nephew wasn't so hungry, we would've just finished our first round of drinks after all the initial bs and ate elsewhere.
There are SO many places to hang out in Naperville though so I think I would try some other bars before I even consider going back to Jimmy's for drinks. I definitely won't ever have dinner there again. Or ever WORK there like people have suggested.

This is THE BEST dentist I've ever had! I recently started going to Dr. Bailey. I had a cleaning and three fillings during three separate appointments.
I had not needed a filling since I was a child so I was pretty anxious. But it was not scary at all! The technology now is SO much better, but it was Dr. Bailey just as much.
He is very gentle and explains everything he is going to do beforehand. I was seeing little stars from the local anesthesia and have experienced this before. I felt comfortable enough to ask him about it. He explained why it happened to me and made sure to use a different one on me the next time.
I cannot say enough about Dr. Bailey! His staff were all wonderful as well. My family drives across town to see him because we like him so much. I HIGHLY recommend him if you need a new dentist!

I love Dr. Cathcart! He is one of the best doctors I've ever had. He was very informative. He doesn't try to cut your visit short when you have questions like so many do. It actually feels the other way around, like he wants you to stay and chat. He is friendly and has a good bedside manner.
The only complaints I have are that he chuckled off my sudden weight gain and did not investigate any possible underlying causes. And he did not accept my new insurance when my employer changed, which is why I was forced to stop going to him.

I went to Dr. Nielsen for a few years. I was never overly impressed, but didn't exactly DISlike him until my last visit. He had some woman with him in training? who was very rude and gave a painful examination. I did not appreciate it since I was there to see HIM and not be practice for a trainee. He was also very rudely dismissive about concerns I had about sudden weight gain. He just asked if I ate bread and potatoes. And said the Depo would make you "blow up" but not the pill... How comforting! (Note sarcasm)
Not much later I lost my insurance and had to go to a Planned Parenthood. I had gained even more without explanation and the Nurse Practioner told me it was from another medication I was on, something that NO one else even considered! Dr. Nielsen also had me on a form of the pill that had way to much estrogen in it for a smoker. I could have gotten a blood clot much more easily and died!

I had made an appointment with Otis Mosely, whom I hear is wonderful, but when I arrived they told me he was not taking new patients and that I had to see this one.
This guy gave me a hard time about wanting a flu shot. Lots of people DIE from the flu every year! He barely listened to any of my concerns and put me on a medication that made me hallucinate on ONE little dose. The only GOOD thing I can say is that the nurse, Jessica, I believe, was very nice when I finally got my flu injection. I never returned and never will.

I went to this dentist a few years ago for a "cleaning". I should have known to RUN once I saw the waiting room, but, against my better judgement (go get the book The Gift of Fear!), I went through with the appointment.
The waiting room looked more like a flea market than a professional dentist's office. The most disturbing thing was a huge print of the three stooges showing Curly getting his tooth yanked out with a pair of pliers.
Among other things that were very unprofessional, the x-ray machine was obviously very old because I had to remove all my earrings beforehand. Everyone and everything about this place just gave me an eerie feeling. (The Gift of Fear, once again...) I was told I needed a filling, but I made up a reason to get out of there. I said I would call to make an appointment for the filling once I knew my schedule. (NOT!)
The same day I made an appointment with another dentist and went in the following week. I was SO much more at ease. I told them I needed a filling, but guess what! I DIDN"T need one! All I needed was a CLEANING which I obvioulsly did not really get the previous week. The dentist and assistant had to ask to clarify that it was the previous WEEK before this and not the previous YEAR. The supposed cavity was a small dot of a STAIN on my tooth! He said he had a feeling he knew who I had been to...
So, my insurance was ripped off and the company said they couldn't do anything about it. The first dentist not only didn't DO any proceedure, but also charged much more than the second, qualified dentist. AND wanted to drill in my mouth when there was NO cavity. Imagine the damage this guy could have caused! So my appointment and x-ray (with a modern machine!) with the second dentist came out of my pocket. I reported Sawyer to the MO Dental Board, but nothing can be done unless more people come forward, i.e. he hurts people who then come forward. He did not get a chance to actually really HURT me yet... It's really sad because this guy is the Medicaid dentist there! And I have heard some horror stories since, while I made a point to tell aquaintances to STAY AWAY.
Please do NOT go to this dentist! And if you have and anything has happened to you, please report this dentist to the MO Dental Board. You only get one set of teeth. Guard them! TRUST YOUR FIRST INSTINCTS!

While Dominick's has a good selection such as their wide variety of beer in the walk-in cooler, their customer service is definitely lacking. At least at this particular location, I have time and time again received very bad service. I am not alone since my family members shop here as well.
My last visit was just before Christmas. It is the closest store to my family's house which is why I/we have often gone there, despite past disappointments. We were picking up a few things for dinner as well as some wine and beer for our Christmas gathering. We even found a couple deals on items we needed, which is unusual for Dominick's whose prices often verge on the ridiculous. So, we were happy and ready to be on our way...
We got to the register and we were each paying for our items separately, but were in the same line. I was last and when it was time for the cashier to ring up my alcohol purchase, she was suddenly not the cheery lady who had just been talking to my little nephew. She said she needed two i.d.s and I honestly thought she was joking. But she wasn't. She wanted one from my sister who was already done being checked out. I can assure you she IS an adult. I explained to the checker that not only were we making seperate purchases, but that my sister's purse had been stolen so she did not have her license, but she had a ticket from a police officer who told her she could use it as identification.
This was all very embarrassing because it was taking forever and therefore holding up the very long line behind me, making people angry... A manager was called over and had to hear the entire situation spelled out once again. I mentioned that "We could just go to Jewel instead, you know." Smile. I have dealt with the public and customer affairs since I started working at the age of 16. I knew this could have been handled much better... I know there are laws pertaining to the sale of liquor, but this became insane and exhausting.
The manager finally said the ticket was sufficient. I thought we were done, but while the checker finished ringing me up, she had to throw in very rudely, "BUT next time!..." Userping what her manager had just said! That was IT! I said, "Never mind. I'm not buying any of this. We're taking our money to Jewel." Ugh!
Keep in mind, this is just ONE instance of poor service I have encountered at this store. So I always end up at Jewel, if not another grocery store in Naperville. I don't care if the other places are a longer drive or have a smaller selection. I refuse to give money to a business who obviously does not care about their customers. I do not appreciate their employees treating us as if THEY are doing us a huge favor by LETTING us shop in their store. I have choices and I DO NOT choose Dominick's!

As a person who usually works for tips, I think that their no tipping policy is really strange. It was a nice place visually, but they must have high overhead costs. My haircut and style wasn't the worst I've ever had, but I didn't like it much. I think their prices are way too high, even without a tip being included. The haircut was $30. The other services in their brochure are much higher. The woman who did my hair didn't talk much. It didn't seem very social here, period. She also massaged my head for an excessive amount of time during my shampoo which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I thought she was a little pushy trying to sell me products and hair color. I like having things suggested or offered but not shoved down my throat. But then it comes back to the no tipping thing because they probably need to push other services to make money. I think I'd rather take my chances trying out another new place than going back here.

I was only in Excalibur for a few minutes to play craps back in 2003. All I know is the dealers at our table were pretty rude and weren't paying us correctly. We finally got our winnings after complaining and left. I thought the place would be neat with the medieval theme and all, but I don't know if I'd ever go back.
