For some reason Panda Express is always the most crowded stand at the mall. It's interesting because our mall also has a good Japanese place, and other related foods, so it's not the only Asian food there, but it is always crowded. They do service the line pretty well, however. They have consistent food which is pretty good. Recently they created a kids' meal which my kids like that includes one item, rice, a cookie or jello, and a drink. It's nice to have an option for the kids when I bother to wait in the line.

If you need to get something quickly, this is your place, but you might find the cost to be more for the convenience. I went in looking for a memory card for my new camera and it was about 3 times the price that I could get it a Newegg.com. I considered buying it but decided I could wait the couple of days it would take to be shipped. It is also very crowded and hard to get help.

Moonstruck Chocolates is famous in Portland for their (expensive) chocolates and hot chocolate bar, and they're finally opening a local store! You can order from them online but it's expensive since there is only a limited set of things that you can order, so it's nice when you are able to order in person! My favorite is the Granada truffle which is basically a chocolate ganache with candied fruit or flower petals or something on the top. It's really good, but for $2 each it better be! I also like the French Silk which is dark chocolate mousse covered in dark chocolate. Now that it's local I'll have to try the hot chocolate!

I usually have no reason to go to Kmart, except that it's a pretty good location, so I stopped by yesterday to get some mailing packages. They literally had *none*, no stationery that I could see at all. The store is still in as bad of shape as it has always been -- it's bad when WalMart is trying to become Target (good luck!) but Kmart isn't even trying. Not to mention there are always people out front trying to get you to donate money to some cause or another. They don't do it anywhere as consistently as Kmart. I have no reason to go back.

I also had bad service with Qwest. They continued to charge my credit card after I was no longer a customer and I had to call and fight with them for months before they stopped charging me. It has left such a bitter taste in my mouth even 10 years later that I would never use them again.

All in all I don't think of Albertson's as a very high quality grocery store (and buying Lucky a few years ago didn't help) but this location is one of the best. They do have a
"club" but when I didn't have a card the employee typed in some other card number (I don't know whose) so I could get the discount. That has never happened at Safeway, where you have to have an account to get their sales. I stop by whenever I'm in the area.

The past two times we have gone into this Baskin Robbins the staffer/owner? has made some obnoxious comment to one of my kids. This time I just walked out. The store doesn't ever have the flavors we want, and is boiling hot. They really need to get air conditioning. I wouldn't recommend this location.

My wife bought her first banjo here. It was a bit slow getting help but she got a really nice one for a good price. I also took guitar lessons through this store and had a great time. They have lots of instruments and supplies, and connections to people who give lessons on instruments of all kinds. The location is great and it is important that we support local businesses!

My wife used to take banjo lessons here from one of the owners, Phyl, and she and her husband had great customer service. They have lots of instruments and supplies, and the lessons were very cheap at that time - I'm sure they've gone up since then. A very nice family business that could use the support!
