I had a Combo pizza at Amante's last night that was very good. The sausage was very spicy - not hot-spicy, but flavorful-spicy. It was my first trip there, and was probably 3.5 to 4 stars out of 5.

Only in a city where quality Mexican restaurants are about as prevalent as Mariner playoff games would the fare at Aqua Verde be considered even average - and that's a stretch. I'm assuming the excellent location, the ability to paddle your kayak, and the gorgeous views are clouding some reviewers' minds. Otherwise, I'll have to believe that few have had Mexican food outside of Washington, because Aqua Verde's bland and uninspiring dishes, while not cheap, taste like they should be. Go for the atmosphere, just eat before you go.

The best BBQ I have had anywhere in the Puget Sound, hands down, is at the Cedar River Smokehouse. They have the best sauce I have ever tasted. The sauce could make anything taste good, but the quality of the meats is good in and of itself. The prices are unbelievable as well.

I didn't even think I liked Indian food until I stumbled upon Naan-N-Curry in downtown Renton (on 3rd St.). Wow! Everything on the menu is fantastic. The ambience is only 2 stars, but don't let that fool you because the food is 4 stars. It's relatively inexpensive - dinner for two will run about $20-$25.

My wife and I cannot say enough about Kasmin Scott, a realtor with Windermere who recently helped us buy our first home. We found Kasmin after suffering through a horrible experience with a realtor who didn't know the first thing about the real estate market, real estate financing, or relevant legal issues. We heard about Kasmin from other young professional friends of ours who had been looking for neighborhoods that were still relatively affordable, were attracting other recent grads, and were primed to appreciate. Kasmin showed us several great up-and-coming neighborhoods where young singles and families were moving to in droves. We eventually found a great home in downtown Renton - a place we had never even been to while attending grad school at the UW. Not only do we love our house and neighbors, but the houses in the neighborhood have been appreciating at a 30% per year clip! Thank you, Kasmin.
