Having studied French, I always want to call this place "Boo-dan", but they say to call it "Bo-deen". In any case, I've been going for years. I love their sourdough bread! My favorite meal is what they call the "best of Boudin" which is a half sandwich and half salad or half soup. I like to get the turkey cranberry sandwich (get it without the onions - they really stand out on this sandwich) with the tomato bread soup. This is tomato soup with their famous croutons. You can even get the half serving soup in a bread bowl for $1 extra, and it's worth it! They used to just give you a normal bread bowl, but now the top is slightly toasted and covered in pesto. Amazing! This location has some great staff (except for the guy who when I reminded him for no onions just took the onions off, which I could still taste on my sandwich -- honestly, I could have taken the onions off myself!) and a bathroom, which I just found out about recently. It's really convenient. And the best/healthiest food in the mall.

The kids really love the Lego store (duh!). They have places you can play with Legos, including a three person table which is for sale. They have some great Lego items, including Lego kitchen ware, magnets, office supplies, and even costumes. The costumes are pretty inexpensive, and we actually bought one at the last minute last Halloween and it worked out great.
They have a birthday party thing which I skimmed the brochure on. It sounds like you pay to have your friends buy Legos, then go to the food court, since I don't think food was allowed in the store. No thanks!
They also have a frequent buyers card that you can only get a stamp on if you buy $25 or more at a time. I think once you've spent $200 you get something. We go there a lot, but don't always spend $25 so it's not helpful for us. But having all boys, we do go there a lot whether we like it or not.

We used to go to Taxi's a lot, especially since they had a deal where you got a discount if you bought and wore one of their t-shirts or got a free kid's meal if they bought and wore one of their t-shirts. Now it's "moms eat free on Tuesdays if you buy 2 entrees". (I'm not sure what an entree is there.) Also, they appear to have raised their prices. It was $20 for me and three kids. To upgrade your kids soda to a kids milkshake you had to *add* 1.99! Suffice it to say I won't be running back there. I like their grilled chicken potato when I do go there.
Another issue is the bathroom. It is outside, and you need a key. (Like at a real gas station I guess.) It's nice if you don't have kids to deal with and want to eat. The bathroom thing is really a deal breaker for me.

After shopping at the specialty store, this was a welcome change. They had a collection of kids' cleats for soccer and other sports, a way of fitting their shoes, plus shin guards and soccer balls. I also liked being able to see other types of sports equipment, like the exercise equipment. I'll defintely be shopping here again.

We needed to get some cleats, so I figured since I haven't shopped for them before, I'd go to the specialty store. It was so crowded! The shoe area was a zoo and I had no idea even how to get into line. We were there for about a minute before deciding to go to Sport Mart instead. This store has it's uses, but not for something I can get easily at a larger store.

I don't care as much about customer service (I hate Nordstrom, and actually how it's given everyone an attitude about how other stores should run their business), but I hate low quality too (like WalMart). So I'd say low prices but brand names. I love Mervyns for this. They have brand names and their own names, but most of them are mid-range quality. I shop there for pretty much all clothing.

Our local Target is remodeling. It's not my favorite Target (Redwood City and Serramonte have that definition) but it's local and I go there a lot. So today the kids want to go to the Starbucks in Target. I say, fine, and agree to spend $6+ to get them drinks -- then I find out that the drinks are "complimentary" -- I saved $6+ ! I wish I had ordered a snack and drink too! I'll definitely be going there again!

It's gotten to the point where I just walk in to Starbucks and walk out. I would love to patronize them and get a pastry but they have the same crap everywhere, and it used to be a good selection! What happened to the cranberry orange scones, the cupcakes, even the carmelita bars? Bring them back! This Starbucks is a pretty good size, though, with some outdoor seating if you're interested in sitting and watching the cars go by.

I like coffee well enough, but you want something to go with it! This Starbucks does have a nice seating area that is good for a group, however. It's too bad they don't have any food to keep you there!

We used to go to Boston Market a lot, but haven't in awhile. I like their turkey dinners with cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes. Their chicken is pretty good too. They have some great deals on family meals, which is good if you need that much food. Their cornbread is pretty good too. I like to go there occasionally, but not too often. They used to have much better desserts, but they aren't worth it anymore.
