This Crepevine opened maybe 5 years ago and I was excited because I was a big fan of the one near Golden Gate Park. This one has all the bad attributes (only take cash, can be crowded all the time, etc.) and none of the good stuff of the other location. I have yet to find a sweet crepe I like there because they all have Nutella and being an American, I hate hazelnuts. Today I bought their "spicy pumpkin pancakes" which was a huge plate of thick pancakes, but not really spicy, barely pumpkin flavored, and huge. No one needs to eat this much. I got hot chocolate which is from a mix, and their hashbrowns which are pretty good. All in all, I wouldn't rush back, because of the options, prices and crowds.

I went into the Cakery to see what they had. There were a few people there ordering their wedding cakes, but not many options to just try their cake, in slice form. I ended up buying a couple of cookies that were just okay. I'm not sure I would rush in again since there are other bakery options in Burlingame.

Full House Farm is a retreat where you can rent a home for whenever you'd like. Rental includes a tour of their working farm. Christine, the owner, is very personable and it is a nice place to take a group, family reunion, etc. She is very good with kids as well. The farm has horses, rabbits, chickens and sheep. You can also harvest the fruits and vegetables that she keeps in the local garden. It is a mile or two from downtown Sebastopol.

I went in to look at the stuffed animals and found something I liked. The stock is very similar to other Hallmark stores. They have a bell at the register for you to call an employee, but the woman there didn't seem to be all that happy to help me and was kind of unhelpful. I would probably try a different Hallmark store if I needed one in the future.

I expected this to be a place that just sold salt water taffy in big bins where you could pick the types you wanted by yourself, but it isn't. It's a really tiny store, that sells some taffy and some other candies. They have the taffy in 1/4 lb. bags and you have to get it from them and flavor by flavor. It wasn't even that fresh. I wasn't all that impressed.

I should have looked at the menu more when I went in. I don't eat seafood, but I saw steak on the menu so I thought it would be okay. The steak was awful, and the food was really expensive. Even the kids meals were more than you'd normally pay. They served RC Cola (who does that in the 21st century?) which was disgusting. The bread was okay, however, and when you order tea they give you a bowl full of choices so technically you could try one or two different for the same price. I can't stress enough how bad the food was, and how little choice there was for non seafood eaters. Yuck!

I had a very hard time finding a tea place that was still in business. It seems a lot of them don't stay around long here. Anyway, this was a store in the middle of an antiques store, where you could get tea. They were having a special of "tea for two" for $25 so we got it. It consisted of cucumber sandwiches, gorgonzola toast, ham and cheese sandwiches, "scones" more like a small cookie, but they tasted good), mini cheesecakes, a sliver of chocolate cake, and butter cookies for two. The tea was good and the cookie/scone tasted good but the rest was just okay.

I was really tempted by this store when it was closed because it had some nice handbags in the back. When I finally got in I realized most of what I liked were Hobo International bags! They did have a couple of interesting bags made out of pop tops and Coke cans, though. They mostly had the designs of one Celtic/fantasy company, which were really nice. And a lot of jewelry. My only complaint was I was the only customer and they acted like I was going to steal the necklace I was carrying around - by asking if they "could keep it at the counter". Not very subtle. I might go back for one of those bags, though.

I was a little questionable about this place because it didn't look like it had table service, but it did. I had the best hamburger ever here! The roll was a handmade bread-type with really heavy and soft whole grain, and the beef was grass fed. I'm still salivating at the thought of eating it again! We also got a grilled cheese that came on whole grain bread that was so good! They also have some mediterranean options. The desserts were pretty bad, however. The cookie was tasteless and broke apart which made it hard to eat. They had a "chocolate beet cake" which just tasted like chocolate cake but had very little icing and wasn't worth the calories.
Go for the hamburgers!

When we went in this store was having a book reading about pomegranates (they are really popular these days, apparently). They have a good selection of books and a really nice children's section. We were able to find good books for everyone here. It is also nice to go to a locally owned bookstore for a change.
