Something to do once
Friday, June 24, 2005
The New Hope & Ivyland railroad is a historic steam train. The inside is restored to look as it did in the 1920's. The train takes you on a short ride, back and forth. There was actually a movie filmed there in 1914 called "Perils of Pauline." You also see a house where Art Garfunkel once lived. Sometimes on holidays they have special dining car rides. Tickets for regular rides cost around $11, which I think is rather steep for such a short ride. I would suggest doing it once, though.
