My husband and I got married at Gypsy Arms Bed and Breakfast, a beautiful little 1908 box Victorian house in the Fremont area. The gentlemen who run the B&B are friendly and offer exceptional attention to detail. Gary is a wonderful cook and host and always makes us feel welcome. We haven't been there since our wedding back on Halloween, 2002 because we have been so busy with little extra spending money but previous to this, Gypsy Arms was a favorite of ours and we would visit every other month or so.
We had a wonderful, tasteful (yes, it's possible) goth wedding in their lovely appointed upstairs. Gary was so helpful and interested, I felt like I was his own child! We also spent the night with some of our friends and then our families joined us for a huge, delicious breakfast the next morning. Gary prepared his yummy apple omelets, platters loaded with bacon, sausages and other delights at every turn.
Now, I probably should mention something here...Gypsy Arms is a delight to anyone, regardless of their persuasion BUT it is also a kink-friendly BDSM bed and breakfast with a large (40' x 40') fully operational dungeon in the basement. You are not required to have anything to do with that part of things if you aren't interested and it is fully possible to book reservations when there is not chance of anyone else being at the B&B but it is available for anyone with serious or new interest if they so desire.
I must stress that you can have a perfectly vanilla good time at Gypsy Arms or if you want your 92 year old Grandma to have a pleasant time in a beautiful setting with no worries of her being exposed to something she might be upset over.
During our wedding, we had about 30 guests and the only people who knew about the dungeon were our close friends and my dad who has no interest but had to bring in cases of wine through the basement and kept wondering about the er...'interesting' art down there >.<
Please enjoy in whatever way you prefer...this place is great!

Or at least this is the way it always seems to me. Everytime I go into Birthday Express I find something wonderful. Last time, they had costumes on sale and these weren't cheapo expensive costumes, these were quality expensive costumes on a sale that made me spend way more than I intended. Gorgeous stuff! I have 5 little girls who were thrilled to death with the fairy costumes and still like to dig them out years later.
I have designed many parties using Birthday Express's interesting mix of themes, craft kits and party favors and it has always been a hit.
You will probably spend more on decorations than anything else because everything is pretty reasonably priced. I love this place:)

Ok...I was only like 6 years old or so >.< I went to the rest room, must have spent quite some time in there and when I came out, my table was gone.
Being 6, this seemed like a pretty big deal and I had to ask a server to help me find the stupid thing. :)
I have been to the Space Needle restaurant several times throughout my life and I have to agree with other posts, the restaurant is just not what it should be. It isn't that the food is bad, but it isn't that great, especially for the price. I could cook a better meal blindfolded and with one hand tied behind my back and I suspect that most people with any cooking interest at all would probably say the same thing.
The view is spectacular though...the elevator ride is fun and I think it is definitely worth while to go at least once during your time in Seattle.
I give it a rating of three stars but here's how I really break it down:
The elevator and view experience is a 5 but the restaurant is a 1.5 star :)

I have had several great experiences at Deep Roots. The owners Rion and Kat are wonderful! My family has only experienced piercing here but we have heard really good things about the tattooing here as well. I had most of my ear lobe stretching done here, my husband had his lips piercings done here and our oldest daughter had her ears pierced the second time here all in a very clean, caring environment. They also have an amazing assortment of jewelry available for all kinds of piercings.
Rion also does some of the most beautiful scarification I have ever seen...absolutely gorgeous and those aren't words I typically think of when I see most scarification! Definitely worth stopping in and checking out the portfolios of some seriously talented individuals.
All this in a high ceilinged, bright and well-lit shop..probably the biggest one I have ever seen. I love it here!

My husband I love karaoke and we usually go to O'Houlie's Pub on the corner of 220th and 66th.
After a good evening of drinks and singing, we like to go out for breakfast. If we aren't in the mood to drive out to Beth's, we go across the street to Crazy Moose.
Now, I don't know anything about them as far as being a casino goes...just that they have pretty good breakfasts at good prices. It is pretty annoying when they pull your drinks (even plain water in a glass) fort 15 minutes each night because I guess, legally they have to but other than that, the coffee is pretty good, service is somewhat slow even though it isn't exactly busy at this time of night and the food is decent.

I have been going to Birth and Family Clinic for the last several years. I see Dr. Lockard and think she is the most awesome doctor around, very caring, knowledgable, and really listens. I have seen several of the doctors there when I wasn't able to see Dr. Lockard and there is only one doc there I don't care for but I won't say he's bad, just not my preference. Friendly front staff, caring doctors, short waits...if I HAVE to go to the doctor, this is where I want to go!

It has been a few years since I used Patrick Kelley's carpet cleaning service so I am hoping I have the right contact info but if this is indeed Patrick Kelley, the master carpet cleaner from Everett, he is the BEST around.
He is amazing and will go the extra mile for his customers. If you contact him, tell him Stephanie Russell, the girl who did the aromatherapy for him sent you:)

Delicious food and a festive environment...my favorites from the menu include the chicken mole (delicious!), the tortilla soup (amazing!), and pretty much anything else on the menu is guaranteed to be wonderful. I LOVE the pico de gallo, so fresh and delicious.
I can't say enough good things about this little restaurant. I hope that their new location in Lynnwood on 196th is just as good and even more successful.
I have never had a bad experience and please believe me when I say, I have been here a LOT. We even had Christmas there one year when we had a family emergency that didn't allow any of us to prepare a proper Christmas dinner. So, numerous celebrations and casual gatherings later...Todo Mexico truly rocks!

My family has been going to Barbara's for years, way back when it was Costa Lees. We have had wonderful service from most of the servers and any that I wouldn't deem 'wonderful' would still be considered 'hurried' at worst and never rude or sloppy.
Recently, the restaurant was handed over to two of the main servers (Joe's our all time favorite) so it will be interesting to see how things go with this brother and sister duo.
Barbara's features a mixed menu of Italian inspired cuisine and delicious sandwiches, pizza, baby back ribs, generous salads and much more.
Everything is served with a smile and substitutions are accomodated without the batting of an eyelash.

I started going to Rickshaw just last year.
A friend of mine has done the tarot card readings there for years but somehow I never managed to stop in. Then my family had a friend visiting us and we wanted to go out to karaoke. Our usualy bar only has it thurs -sunday so we decided to go to the Rickshaw instead.
We had a GREAT time! That bar was hopping! They have a huge karaoke menu and the food wasn't bad. The wait staff was uber friendly and although it took forever to get to sing on just about any night we went there, it was a good time all around.
The last couple times we went there, once again with out of town friends (is Bermuda far enough away for you?), it was a whole different world. The usual karaoke hostess wasn't there and the girl who was doing it is gorgeous and a nice waitress (we had her before) BUT a rotten karaoke hostess. It still took forever to get to sing even though there were only a handful of people singing on this particular night and the food was ok but the whole experience just wasn't the same. It was also the only time I had ever seen the Rickshaw so empty. I am not sure what is going on over there but on a good night, it is a lot of fun and on a bad night, I guess it isn't.
The layout of the place is weird too, kinda like eating in a box car or at least how I imagine it would be >.<
The food is Asian inspired with a mix of Thai, Chinese, and American.
Sometimes good, sometimes bad:)
