Bachmans is the nicest nursery in the twin cities. The quality of their products far surpass any other nurseries in the city. I have recieved nothing but excellent product and service everytime i have shopped this store. They are more than helpful when it comes to helping you make the right purchases for your wants, abilities, needs and location. I have recieved the best advice just from chatting with the friendly employees.

For my daughters 1st birthday we spent the day at Underwater World. She had a great time and so did we. It is exciting to experience something like a huge aquarium in the middle of a shopping mall. They do a great job of catering to children of all ages here. After you ride the moving walkway through the aquarium there is a huge sandbox and play area to let the children run and get rid of any pent up energy. The day we went we had a great time learning interesting facts from the well educated staff. We even were able to touch stingrays and sharks. Very exciting. it is an excellent educational family activity.

Run do not stop if you are looking at this childcare center. As a previous parent I can honestly say I was very happy with this school for the first 2 years my baby was there, but since october of 2003 it has not been the same. I was happy with this center because it was different than CHAIN centers. However the new management that took over on 10/03 has run it into the ground. It is no longer a nice homey christian center. Now it is no different than your big typical chain centers. When looking for a child care center it is important to have your children first and foremost. At Open Arms children are 2nd to making money. I have been informed by my childs preschool teacher that they are not purchasing supplies for the kids to do art projects because they do not have the money for it. I do not pay 500 dollars a month so my child can sit around and do nothing, no art, no sensory it is terrible.

This is a fantastic building for children from infant to teen. We brought our daughter to the museum when she was about 7 months old. They have a fabulous area just for tiny tots. It is all padded and perfect for little ones to crawl around in. But there are definitely fun activities and exhibits for older kids too! Much older, my husband had more fun than some kids playing with alll the hands on interactive areas! The location of the museum is easy to find and it is a beautiful building and area, making it fun for mom too!

We are so happy with the service we have recieved from groomingdales. We have a 8 year old Lhasa Apso and we have never had his hair cut anywhere besides groomingdales. Our 17 year old Peek-a-Poo recently passed away but for the last 8 years she also only had her hair done at groomingdales. They have an excellent staff and are more than caring. Our dog actually enjoys going to visit his friends at groomingdales. Compared to some of the cheaper chain locations where you can get grooming done the quality at groomingdales is like comparing Juut salon to cost cutters. We love the way our dog looks after a trip to groomingdales. It is definitely worth the extra money!

The first thing we did after my daughter was born last summer was to purchase a membership to the zoo. It is such a wonderful place to spend some quality family time together. i feel it has a excellent state of the art facilities. They are always improving to or adding on exhibits. The fact that it is Minnesota and it is below freezing what seems like 6 months out of the year, they have a equal indoor and outdoor exhibits. We will sometimes just go for a half an hour for a walk and a change of scenery. But usually we end up making an entire day of it, because it is so enjoyable!

We recently brought our baby daughter(9 months) to the science museum. It was such a wonderful trip because we all enjoyed ourselves. My husband and I had a great time experiencing the hands on exhibits while our young daughter was in awe of the sights and the sounds. She was so facinated by everything around her, we were able to spend several hours there and enjoy all of the different exhibits. I am always looking for places to go as a family and this is tops in my book.

I get so put off by big chain toy stores. They are times that you just need to go back to the old mom and pop stores. Well Creative Kidstuff helps. They have staff who know about toys and are willing and able to help you find the perfect toy for your situation. We have used CK for several of our family and friends children's birthdays! Plus for only $1 they do great gift wrapping. I also feel like anytime I give a gift or recive a gift from CK you know alot of care and effort went into the purchase!

Recently hennepin counties bars and restaurant's were forced to go smoke free. As a mother this is the greatest thing that has happened. Since my daughter was born we have had to skip out on many of our old time favorite restaurant's due to them being bars. I love the fact that I can go to champps with my daughter, they have a fun atmosphere, a great children's menu. Plus my husband and I are able to enjoy a cocktail and watch several sporting events also. We have trained our daughter to love sports as much as we do. So at 1 year old, she enjoys champps as much as we do!

We spent an entire morning one Sunday trying to come up with a place to bring our 10 month old daughter for breakfast. Most restaurants were way to busy for us to wait with a hungry baby for a table. So we decided to try brueggers. It was wonderful, they have great highchairs, the tables are comfy yet the atmosphere is so relaxed! We had such a nice breakfast. They have a nice selection of juices and milks in a cooler which make it easy to find something suitable for the baby to drink. We had a great breakfast and no worries about causing a big disturbance!
