Chinese restaurants I've been to treat egg rolls like a condiment: they are bland and often limp. The egg rolls here are nice and crunchy and very tasty. The price is very reasonable too. Located in the Sunset district, they have a blue awning and is next to a travel agency(?). They are a casual restaurant, walk up to the counter, order dim sum and be gone. They have a small seating area and close at 5pm. My favorite pieces were shrimp with cilantro dumpling (3/$1.50), Sesame balls, BBQ Pork Buns (Hum bow) and the egg rolls. The lady who served me was very pleasant.

The activities at Zeum are a little too advanced for a preschooler or younger. It doesn't warrant the admission. They will have more fun at the carousel or outside at the children's play circle. If on a Friday and you have reciprocal membership anyway, there are themed story times and crafts at 12 and 1:30pm. They can also make masks and clay figures.
If you have school aged kids, then this is the place to be. It pushes their creativity to the next level with the systems housed for production. ( http://www.Zeum.com )

This is a pretty store. They carried name brands such as Amy Coe, Dwell, Bill & Ted's, Bugaboo, Under The Nile, Baby Bjorn, Tea. The staff were nice and accommodating. The store is located in the Marina district. The prices are on the high side, but could account for the premium real estate and premium brands. It is a good place to buy - a present and/or when they are on sale.

Whenever I am in the area, I can't help but stop and patronize Lucky Creations. Located in the heart of Chinatown by Ross Alley, this little restaurant serves up tasty dishes made of mushrooms, tofu and gluten. I say tasty and I'm not even vegetarian! So it has to be good. Try the lemon chicken.
The price is right: all items in the menu are under $8. The place is small, there are only 4 square tables and 3 round tables total.
I had excellent service. The people were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is casual.

Located in the Embarcadero, the newly renovated Ferry Building Farmers Market is a great place for a quick bite. They housed organic products: produce, cheese & dairy, mushrooms, bread, meat, confectionery, pattiserie (french cookie vendor) and garden plants. It is very clean, affordable and affords a great view of the water.
Hours: The local farmers and street vedors set-up stands outside on Tuesday and Saturday between 8-2pm. Vendors inside the building are open all week.
Outside vendors peddled wares from fused glass jewelry, silver jewelry, rock engravings to oil paintings. The produce vendors outside seemed cheaper than those inside. I enjoyed a sample of walnut peanut brittle at the peanut stand. Next to the knife sharpening stand is a Mexican food stand with amazing vegan tamales ($3.50). If facing the ferry bulding, she is on the end on the left.
Take cash. While most vendors take credit cards, they have minimum purchase amounts. There is a Bank of America ATM inside the Ferry Building.

I used Magnolia Bridge Self Storage short term when we were transitioning to our house. The staff were friendly and professional. The facility was clean and secure. There are video/camera surveilances and a special code is required upon entry. They also have a special moving van rate of $19.99, which I found very helpful. They are located on Interbay, with close proximity to Fremont, Queen Anne, Ballard, Magnolia and Belltown.
The rates were very reasonable, I had a closet for $45 a month and was able to cram all my stuff in. I believe you can go month to month with no minimums.
If you go to their site, you can get a web coupon for $25 off the first month's rent. You can also take a virtual tour of their facility. http://www.urbanstorage.com/location_magnolia_bridge.html

We had the misfortune of going there for a chronic illness. For the two years straight where we've went for average every week, we had not had a bad experience.
You have access to the world renowned professionals. The staff are very helpful and sympathetic. They look like they enjoy what they do.
Emergency room: Clean and comfortable. Once in the examination room, throw in a video. There is a rack in the hallway with movies to choose from. Also, you have access to the snack room, grab some juice and crackers. It relaxes everyone and passes the time away.
General Laboratory: Kudos to the phlebotomists! They are so good at getting blood from the little ones. Wee ones, where others in a general hospital will show nervousness, they get in and get their job done quickly. Inside the room is a TV that shows the same movie from the waiting room. It keeps the focus away from the procedure. Afterward, they are treated with fancy band-aid and stickers of their choice.
We were in the in-patient ward, cancer patient ward, x-ray room, hem-onc clinic, out-patient surgery to name a few. Every time, we left with the feeling that the patient comes first.

Ye Olde Curiosity Shop is indeed old. And interesting at that, it is a remnant of the old boardwalk beach stores found along the coast. Walking in the place transforms me to a magical place that holds interesting artifacts that one does not encounter every day, like petrified mummies. There is no store like it and well worth the experience. Play tourist one day...
Inside there are the touristy souvenirs, black & white photos of Seattle during the gold rush, native art and petrified mummies. Be forewarned, it is too tight for strollers in there. It's free entertainment if you take the time. www.yeoldecuriosityshop.com

Reasons to check them out:
1) Abundant selection on produce
2) Ethnic variety of produce, dry goods, freezer section - lumpia
3) Organic produce, frozen veggies - Stahlbush
4) Food sample stations and food demonstrations - learn!
5) Cheese - dubliner, chevre
6) Bakery - fresh humbows!
7) Seafood - fresh clams or lobster anyone?
8) Price - reasonable.
With the price of gas these days, why go to 3 different places to complete your shopping list? They have a coupon in the Chinook Book.
