This is a great little coffee joint and restaurant. The prices are a little high and service can be spotty. But if you're looking for a great place to people watch, catch up on conversation or even just be engrossed in your laptop, the City Cafe is a great place. They showcase local art on the walls, and the location is a former car dealership. The food is very good - love their salads. Great brunch.

This is the Baltimore outpost of the popular Cheesecake Factory chain. Much, much more than their namesake, they have a very large and diverse menu. Breakfast foods, pizza, pasta, steaks, salads, sandwiches, appetizers...it's all here. The portions are very generous and the prices reasonable. Good location overlooking the harbor. Service is very good. Expect a wait, as the location caters mainly to tourists.

This is a quirky little restaurant in Hampden - think mismatched silverware, plates and chairs with formica tables and you get the picture. The food is tasty, but I would suggest sticking with the breakfast menu. Lunch offerings are generally so-so. The restaurant is a slice of John Waters' Bawlmer.

I grew up on Ledo pizza in Maryland and flipped when I found out they opened a location in Cape Coral! The food is the same as at the original location in College Park. Great homemade dough and sauce, and the pizzas are square because they "don't cut corners." Everything is fresh and tasty. Prices are cheap. By all means, go there!

This is a small family owned Italian restaurant in North Ft. Myers. It's an odd setup inside this strip mall storefront. When you walk in the door, you're immediately inside the dining room - no hostess stand. Specials are on a very large dry-erase board that the server brings to your table. The menu is broad, but there are no descriptions of any of the entrees - if you don't know what "balsamico" or "marsala", etc., mean, you'll have to ask how the dish is prepared. The portions are generous, but the prices are average to a little high.

This is a salad bar buffet restaurant. Great food, great selection! In addition to the very, very large salad bar, they also have soup, pasta, fresh breads and dessert. The price is very reasonable, but I would avoid the add-ons they offer (like grilled chicken to go on your caesar salad, for an extra $1-2 or so). There's more than enough food that's included with your buffet price without needing to pay for those extras. Can be very busy some nights.

This is the Ft. Myers location of this 'quaint country' chain. To me, it's more than a little overdone. The food is about what you would expect from an IHOP or similar restaurant. They have a 'country store' in the front of the restaurant, but it's all faux country. Prices are cheap, service is friendly. They've had labor disputes in the past based on alleged discriminatory hiring practices.

This is a great Irish pub in Ft. Myers. Tons of brews on tap. Interesting space, with seating upstairs and downstairs. Live music some nights. The food is typical pub grub, with some interesting twists. Everything we've had has been really good. The prices are reasonable. Can be very busy weekend nights during season.
