This is a nice little brew pub at the Avenue. The portions are generous and they have a very large selection. Check out their nightly specials, as they have a great steak special. Large bar area, and they also have outdoor seating, weather permitting. My favorite sandwich there is the Rachel - it's like a Reuben, but with turkey and coleslaw instead of corned beef and sauerkraut. Dining room atmosphere is a little bland, but that's because of the architectural setup of the strip mall.

Here's a tip - they have a coupon on their carry out menus for a free order of wings with a $10 (I think) order. If you're calling for carry out, always tell them you have the coupon and you'll get a free order of wings - they never ask for the coupon! Everything we've ever had there has been very fresh and tasty. The prices are cheap as well.

This is a nice little Vietnamese restaurant located near the Senator Theatre. The food is pretty good - better than most in Baltimore, but no way near the best I've ever had. Try the Pho if you've never had Vietnamese food. It's a large bowl, and you'll get basil, cilantro, bean sprouts, etc. to put in it. All very fresh. Pho supposedly has healing properties and is a food many seek out when they're feeling sick. Decent value for the money.

The atmosphere is a little stuffy and businessy, but that's what one expects at an upscale steakhouse. Prices are reasonable to high, but again that's what one expects at an upscale steakhouse. I prefer Mortons (by a hair), but Ruth's Chris is a very close second.

I read the comments from Sara about the service being slow, but I've never had that problem and I've eaten here maybe 25 times. We've always had great service. And the food? Wonderful. Love...

Love their satay. Their beef larb is also a standout, as it's quite tasty and hard to get elsewhere. Never had a problem getting a table - it's never that busy.

Not in the best neighborhood, although a block or two away it's quite safe. They had the best caesar salad dressing I've ever had. Ever! Great place to get to know your date!

It's been said many times that John Waters hangs out at the Club Charles. I've been there many, many times, but I've never seen Mr. Waters there. (Have seen him across the street at the Charles and at Enoch Pratt, but that's another post). Drink prices are reasonable here, but don't expect the joint to be jumping until much later in the evening. Still, it's a pleasant place to grab a drink while waiting for a movie at the Charles or a table at Tapas Teatro.

Tasty breadsticks are on the table, and they bring you a nice 'amuse bouche.' Everything we've tried there has been wonderful. Prices are average to a little high.
