If you're searching for the best cake around, look no further. Just Desserts is located on Albion Street in Wakefield. It is easy to miss, as it is a small shop. They are an order-only shop, that is to say that there are no pre-made cakes for you to stop in and buy. The good news is that she only needs a couple of days for your order. We used this shop for our wedding cake, and it was unbelievable. We had yellow cake with raspberry mousse filling and butter cream frosting. Incredible! She even did the basket weave design on it for no extra charge. We have gone back to this shop for other special occasion cakes, including baptism and anniversary cakes, both included beautiful fresh flowers on it. We have gotten rave reviews about both the design and the taste of the cakes! I can't recommend this shop more...you'll never go anywhere else if you try it!

This is by far the best pizza in the greater Lowell area. It is located on Rt 38 in Lowell, in the Market Basket shopping center. A cheese pizza cost just under $10, weighs in at a whopping three pounds, and tastes fantastic. They do not have an extensive menu since pizza is their main draw, but they do sell some calzones and baked goods. I was surprised to see that they also do specialty cakes as well. If you love their pizza dough and would like to make something at home with it, raw dough is available for purchase as well. There are tables for you to enjoy your pizza at Sal's, but I think take out is their main draw. There is plenty of parking available, and there is never too long a wait.

Mike will play the music you want, and only the music you want. He's not one of those DJs who takes over an event...well, unless you want him to. We hired Mike to DJ our April 2002 wedding, and we've been getting compliments on our reception ever since. He may have had an easy crowd since both families are dancing fools, but he knew when to play a game (and thankfully just one!) and when to put some slow songs on. He played the songs we wanted, and steered clear of the songs we had vetoed. There was truly something for everyone, and no one left early! He gave us a CD with a sampling of songs as a gift, and was a true professional the entire time.

If you're like me, the price of professional pictures for an event is down right depressing. Packages starting in the thousands, and extras adding up fast. Its one of those niches that you really can't get around. You can't go without pictures from your wedding or other event, but would like to feed your guests, too!
That is why I chose to go with Stuart Garfield, out of Lynn, MA. Stu is a nice guy who runs his business out of his home. He does a wonderful job, and his pictures are beautiful. He charges a standard fee for his services, and it included eight hours of his time at my wedding and 250 proofs in an album. After that, and this is the great part, everything is ordered by print. Buy as little or as much as you want. There is no set "pick 10 prints for your parent album". YOu choose. Pick 2 or pick 50. The prices are unbeatable, too. At the time, and this was April 2002, the cost of an 8x10 was $8. That meant that I could get every one of my 250 prints made into an 8x10 for the price of some of the other studios packages! Its truly an unbeatable value.

Evergreen is a family owned florist located on Main St in Stoneham. I was always greeted promptly, and the woman there was wonderful to work with. She did sample centerpieces based on my preferences, and I was able to see what I would be getting. It was nice to have someone go that extra mile for me because I knew what flowers I liked, but was unsure as to how the final product would look. Our centerpieces were beautiful and the bouquets were breathtaking. I highly recommend Evergreen florist to anyone looking for flowers for any occasion or event!

We have purchased flowers from Broken Wheel for the past two years and have never been let down. They are overflowing with gorgeous flowers, and they stay healthy and beautiful all summer long. We have given them as gifts for birthdays and Mother's Day, and we get complimented on them all the time. Our most recent purchase was of some pastel begonias, and they are as beautiful today as the day we bought them!
If you're unsure what you're looking for, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They also offer classes on flower gardening and other topics.
You'll be tempted by the displays of delicious homemade candy when you go inside to pay. My advice is to indulge a little...their chocolate is outstanding!
Broken Wheel Farm is easy to get to. It is located on 113 in Dracut. It is near the intersection of 113 and Wheeler Rd...you can't miss it!

If you're looking for a Roman Catholic church community to welcome you with open arms, then you should look at St Francis parish in Dracut. When we moved to the area we needed to find a new church. I'm usually one to try out several churches before I decide on one, but not this time. I was happy with St Francis from the moment I walked in. There are people to greet you when you arrive, and everyone is friendly. I have since noticed many activities that go on in the parish, including religious and social ones. There are events for children, adults, married couples, singles, etc. It is truly a thriving community that always has room for more parishioners.

When looking for a hotel for out of town guests to stay in when visiting, I checked the ratings. Travelocity only gives this hotel 2 out of 5 stars, but I'm guessing they need to re-evaluate since its been remodeled. The hotel now boasts all new bathroom fixtures. The hotel is extremely clean, and the staff is friendly. The rate my family had included an excellent continental breakfast which was larger than the standard bagels and coffee. Fresh apples and oranges are available for guests, too. If you're a member of AAA, you can get additional discounts.
The Fairfield Inn has easy access to interstates 495 and 93. It is located less than a mile from exit 39 on 495. There are a couple of other hotels in the immediate area, but the Fairfield Inn is the best value. Since there are a few hotels there, you can also find some restaurants within walking distance.

Although it can be a little tricky to find, it is generally easy to get to. Just look for the sign on Rt 62 in North Reading (south of Rt 28, Main St) It can be hard to notice the sign the first time, but once you know how to get there you'll keep going back! It is clean and quiet, and not usually too crowded on weekday mornings (if you have under school age children like I do) There is ample parking. Vending machines and bathrooms (well, the portable kind...) are available as well.

The practice consists of 5 doctors, all of whom are friendly, knowledgeable, and wonderful with the kids. The staff of receptionists and nurses are also friendly and helpful. There is always a nurse at the triage desk if you need to call with questions. They have a doctor in the office after regular office hours during the week and on Saturday mornings for sick visits. There is always a doctor on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year with excellent response time...trust me, I've needed to page a doctor on more than one occasion! They are a part of the Winchester Hospital system, and can use the services there for anything that may come up.
