OK, so they are a bit snobby, but oh man, their spice blends and teas are amazing. If you're willing to go out of your way, your dinners will taste amazing.
To add more tofu to your diet, add their tofu scramble spices to your pan. You'll look forward to eating the stuff, and not out of virtue alone. My favorite is the Shitake Tofu.
When the temperature continues to drop and you need a spot of warm-you-from-the-inside-out tea, try their Chipotle Chai. You'll need to do two steps - steep the Chai mix, then add black tea (and a third step to steam milk and add it if you choose, I skip that) and blend together, but nothing warms in the world like this. It's for serious spice addicts.
Great staples can be found there, too, and prices are truly reasonable.
enjoy!

they have a good standard selection of clothing as well, but sizes tend to go fast due to their location just blocks from Greenlake

I was lucky enough to have Seth as my masseuse 7 years ago when I was a very competitive athlete. My brother gave me a certificate to Ummelina for my birthday, and I've been seeing Seth regularly ever since.
I'm hooked on his massage method, Tuina, and on Seth's personality and intellectual approach to massage and acupuncture. He's constantly expanding his education, and I've been trusting him to keep me healthy (despite my tendency to 'overdo') and referring him to only my closest friends (never the competition!).
Seth started his own business 4 or 5 years ago, and deserves to be overwhelmed with customers. Give him a try next time your inner Lance/T.O./Dean Karnazes needs a little TLC.

It's been a while since my galpal and I chose this spot for our lunch, but we snuck in an hour-plus today and had a nice time. She had the risotto, which was packed with perfectly sized veggie bits (market fresh!) and I had the grilled scallops perched atop a chilled pile of light as air potatoes whipped with Kalamata olives. It was great. The only thing that seemed disappointing was the wedge salad that paired with my friend's salad - seemed very small, but admittedly the flavor was fantastic. The food was much higher quality and the setting more comfortable than our last outing to Pink Door (although the view from there is fab).

They use very high-quality products, including IS Clinical, which I used to be only able to find in LA (my skin is like silk after one of these facials, and my skin is easily irritated and prone to exczema).
Also, their product prices are very good as well - they sell the MD version of Prevage for $50 LESS than the department store half-strength version.
Let me know how it goes!

I totally thrilled my brunch pals by bringing dates, Chevre, and prosciutto that I picked up on the way. For less than $15 we were feasting on appetizers that fit in well with my friend's country-club home on the 8th green.
Two quick dinner favorites: bagged salad and Tarte D'Alsace or Quattro Formaggio ( don't stop at the 3-cheese version - it's not at all good) frozen pizzas or the frozen barbecue teriyaki chicken paired with a sliced english cuke drizzled with the Spicy Thai Peanut salad dressing and some Shu Mai.
My husband starts over 80% of his days with their Vanilla Almond Clusters cereal, and I like their fat free half and half as well as their great selection of soy milk, rice milk, yogurt and organic dairy.
It's just a great place for reasonable prices on good-quality items.
The only warning I have is that although some cheap wines are OK ("$3 Chuck") others are terrible (the Bull's blood wine and some of the TJ Labels are just not good at all to my taste).
Enjoy the discovery.

Bill was fantastic helping my husband and I find our first home. We took a shot at using Costco's real estate service as the only agents we had come across were clones from the verizon commercial ("No, I'm not drinking, why do you ask?!"). They assigned Bill to help us and he was fantastic.
Although Bill was very well versed in Eastside neighborhoods, he paid so much attention to our initial desires (you realize how anything in your price range can start to look acceptable after a short while). He helped us find our dream home (seriously, it's great) in a neighborhood that was central to both of our workplaces. We are happy in West Seattle although he patiently toured us through 'promising' properties from Bothell to Renton.
Bill is a meticulous agent who will help you find exactly what you want. Give him a shout.

Who knew that pizza crust could melt in your mouth? We went to Tutta Bella's Greenlake location after being driven North by an over-run Fremont area.
We started by sharing the enormous Insalata di Napoli (you know, to keep it close to the whole Naples theme - and I have a weakness for salame). It was delicious and dressed with the perfect amount of oil and vinegar - no smothering of the fresh ingredients.
We tried two different wines by the glass, the Zenato Valpolicella and the Montesole Aglianico. According to the order in which the server said she brought them, we decided we liked the Zenato better. When we ordered another round, however, it was clear that the wines were mis-identified at the start. Also, there was a ring of residue (detergent? crystals from the wine (doubtful)) in the bottom of my hubby's glass, and the server did nothing but shrug and take the glass away. what the?!? Next time I'll ask that they bring the bottles so I know what I'm drinking and can take notes to better learn about Italian wines.
About 20 min later, the Campania pizza arrived. the dough was blackened and blistered, but there was no charry flavor to it at all, and the dough dupporting the toppings literally melted away on my tongue. How do they do that?!
